Absolutely loved my experience at Kou Ramen! The food was amazing—the tonkotsu ramen had a rich, creamy broth, the pork was tender, and the gyoza were perfectly crispy. The beef rice bowl with the soft egg was also packed with flavour. What really made the visit stand out was the staff. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel comfortable from the moment we walked in. The service was fast, and everyone had a smile on their face. If you're in Blacktown and craving authentic, delicious ramen, I highly recommend giving Kou Ramen a try. Great food, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere. You'll definitely want to come back! 🍜
We visited Kou Ramen in Westpoint on a Sunday evening and tried the black garlic ramen, shoyu ramen, and the snow cheese fried chicken. The ramen noodles were cooked perfectly with a great texture, which was the highlight of the meal. However, the broth was fairly average and didn’t stand out as much as I had hoped. The snow cheese fried chicken was disappointing. It was quite dry, and there didn’t seem to be much meat inside. It felt like there was more batter than chicken, which made it less enjoyable. The service also left room for improvement. We didn’t feel particularly welcomed, and the overall experience lacked the warm hospitality you would expect when dining out. On a positive note, the restaurant has a lovely interior. The entrance is especially attractive, with lots of lanterns hanging from the ceiling, creating a nice atmosphere. Overall, the ramen noodles were excellent and the décor was appealing, but the average soup, disappointing fried chicken, and underwhelming service meant the experience fell short of expectations.
Love, love, LOVE these ramen! From the very first spoonful, it was clear this place knows what they're doing. The combination of the rich, flavorful broth, the tender, melt-in-your-mouth meat, and the perfectly cooked noodles is absolutely flawless. The spicy broth is exactly my kind of comfort food—it has a deep, complex heat that warms you up without being overwhelming, and that "spicy texture" they achieve is incredible. We decided to share a couple of appetizers: the spicy ribs and the seafood. Both were outstanding! The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender with a delicious glaze, and the seafood was fresh and expertly prepared. Every single dish was a winner. The service was friendly and quick, making the whole experience even better. I am already planning my next visit. Definitely coming back for more!
Tried 3 different ramens on our visit for Saturday dinner. Miso and spicy pork was amazing. Chicken was okayish. Portion Sizing is generous. Place gets filled quickly and service was still fast. Would love to come again.
Today, I wanted to try one of the restaurants on 4th floor of Westpoint Blacktown. Had been to this place several times for the ramen. I ordered the Beef Bulgogi Don. Glad that it came with a miso soup & salad. Generous amount of beef slices and stir fried vegetables. Ingredients are fresh, served warm to hot and the outcome of this dish is tasty. Well balanced and hearty dish. Enjoying this meal.
