It was quiet when we dined and so it seemed a good spot to have relaxing dinner. Cauliflower starter was nice and would be better with a bit more sauce. The steak seem to have been cooked on open fire and had a bit of lamb taste, may be due to shared grill. The dessert was really good, highly recommended as its unique and the orange oil drizzle was lovely!
Sadly our experience felt rather like something straight out of Hell’s Kitchen - without the entertainment value. I ordered my steak medium-rare, but it arrived well done, tough, and sinewy. While they did offer to recook the steak, it was of low quality and came with very poorly made gravy (literally water like consistency) Our $25 prawn entree, was so overcooked they could’ve doubled as chew toys. The chicken parmi came burnt and dry, and the sauce tasted old and tired rather than fresh and rich. Overall, the food quality didn’t match the prices, and the experience was disappointing from start to finish. Unfortunately we had to leave our food untouched, no refund or discount was offered, only a half hearted apology.
The bar guy is very accommodating. A little on the ma pa spectrum but that’s unique for Darlo. Quite dead for a Saturday so check out yourselves as to your own choice thoughts. Lamb slow cooked was ok.
Beautiful pub menu with a touch of elegant variations. We had the steak panino, and the meat lovers pizza. Think we will be back to try some more flavours of those stone baked pizzas. Beautiful!!
amazing food and service, Honestly one of my favourite spots in Paddington! The food’s super tasty and fresh, and the prices are really great for what you get. The staff are always nice and chill, and the service is quick. Great place for a casual meal or even catering if you’ve got a event or party. Definitely recommend checking it out!
