Food are absolutely amazing and delicious. Staff are super friendly. Highly recommend if you are a dumplings fan.
Absolutely AMAZING experience at Alice Dumpling in Manly! We were there about an hour ago and literally EVERYTHING was over the moon!! Every single dish we ordered was packed with flavour… from the delicious dumplings and soup to the Mongolian beef and mango pancake (so good!). We also had the chicken feet, spare ribs, and wonton soup with beef and wow, everything was incredibly tasty and satisfying. Customer service was also top notch. The boys who served us were soooo cute, and one of the tall guys was especially friendly and easygoing. It really added to the great vibe. We sat outside where it’s pet-friendly and right by the beautiful Manly beachfront… such a perfect spot to enjoy a meal. Super happy with our experience and will definitely be back soon. Highly recommend this gem! 💯
We were staying at a hotel very close to this place and stopped to eat by chance. Now we’ve been there 3 times. The food is so good. How to describe? There are a lot of choices. Everything is freshly cooked and doesn’t taste at all like it was sitting waiting to be re-heated. I’ve never had vegetarian fried rice that was actually tasty all on its own. And the buns are so different from anything I’ve ever had. The staff are so nice and welcoming it’s a given. The last time we ate there the waiter asked the couple next to us how their meal was. They said “it’s the best we’ve had here all week”. Gotta agree.
With the word ‘dumpling’ in the restaurant name, one would expect this to be their specialty, and they didn’t disappoint. Squid Ink Dumplings were filled with tender squid and prawn (if my taste buds are to be relied on), soft fresh squid ink black wrappers and so delish. Scallop & Prawn Dumplings also were fresh, tender and full flavoured. Could have just repeated this order, they were so tasty. Duck pancakes with fresh (not pickled) cucumber, leek & hoisin sauce were tasty but the duck seemed reheated, being rather dry unfortunately. The classic combo of flavours is always a winner. Add a bottle of wine, sunny arvo, outdoor eating and friendly hosts - a bit tricky to get their attention when restaurant was full - and a menu with fantastic variety, a return visit to work through the dumpling list is a must. EDIT: popped back for second meal. More yumminess. Crab & prawn dumplings, full meaty filling were divine. Singapore noodles, half eaten before pic, had chicken, bbq pork & prawns. Great flavour, non greasy & enhanced by a bit of chilli oil. This place has been open only a week, not that you would know as food & service runs really well.
