Great service, awesome view, amazing atmosphere, being a foodie its the little things that count, we had the prawn dumpling, they were delicious & full of flavour, Calamari + Zucchini fritters, had no fritters just Calamari, nice but disappointing not to get the entire dish! Cod croquettes were also very nice. Halloumi, nice but no flavour, a bit of honey goes a long way, broccolini, need to take the little leaves off. But I'm just picky! I've had breakfast here as well, Pancakes are a must, absolutely delicious, avo on toast with goats cheese, maybe don't be too sparing on the goats cheese. Bit overpriced but overall nice & will always come back
Friday lunch this week is at Bathers, Coogee Beach. We are having a night at Bondi Junction and did the coastal walk from Bondi Beach to Coogee. We normally do it the other way round and this is the first time going south. An absolutely stunning day with blue sky all around. Sea breeze keeping the temps down as we walked a couple of hours to lunch. Lunch was amazing. Bathers is at the south end of a very Aussie beach but the restaurant has a really European feel. From the French rose’ to the Greek style calamari it was all perfect. The usual pub crawl home to follow. 🐙🦑🐟
Excellent find and worth the 20m walk up from next door. Food was superb, fresh, wonderfully presented on the plate, and served quickly. Coffee was excellent, made by the waiter in front of us and brought straight to the table. Great location at the end of the beach near the rock pool, and definitely a great brunch location without too many tourists (for Coogee!).
Ricotta pancake was nice and soft. Moreton bay pasta was alright but a bit bland. Less Moreton Bay Bugs than shown on the pictures on Instagram. Prawn Dumplings were meh. Coffee was great. Service was good but at times felt like staff were disinterested and not warm. View was lovely. Music was great and a good volume. Come for the view, get a coffee. If you write that it is someone’s birthday, they will not do anything unless you start singing.
They say us down at a table outside. We ordered coffees. They arrived and weren't great, then after 10 minutes they told us they needed us to move because the management liked to use that table. They tried to sit us inside which we didn't want to do on a hot day. When we tried to talk to the staff about it they were rude, and told us they don't allow people to stay for long if they aren't having food. They didn't tell us this before we ordered. They then charged us $16 for two small coffees
