Cute little breakfast spot. The best coffee I had in Sydney. You must try the pao de queijo waffles! They were incredible.

I’m a big fan of the Bronte Belo restaurant chain — I go whenever I can! The food is great and the staff are always wonderful, making you feel right at home. The Coogee location is busier than the others, but nothing stressful; my food came out quickly and I was still able to chat comfortably. The place is beautiful, cosy, and easy to access. I only had one small issue: I ordered the “bolinhos de bacalhau” a second time in this day and unfortunately they were very salty on that occasion — but everything else was perfect.

In an area where so many restaurants serve the same meals, it’s great to see some different items offered. The big breakfast is one of the best we’ve had in a while, the smoothie was refreshing and the coffee tasted great. Tables moved pretty quickly as well which was nice that there was no wait, but you had to flag the waitresses down a bit and the coffees took almost as long as the food. Recommendations: Really highlight the pao de queijo waffles more. Put them on the big brekky instead of sourdough. I ordered a pao de queijo waffle with a side of egg and avocado and basically made ‘avo toast’ with it which was 5 stars. That could replace your typical avo toast on the menu easily and creatively!

I recently visited this café and had a lovely experience. The food was fresh, well-prepared, and definitely hit the spot — a great mix of flavours and quality ingredients. But the real standout for me was the coffee — rich, smooth, and brewed to perfection. You can tell they take their coffee seriously, and it truly was the star of the visit. The vibe of the place is warm and welcoming, with a relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to linger a little longer. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to — whether it’s for a meal or just to grab another one of those amazing coffees.
