A wonderful spot for breakfast with a stunning view that instantly sets the mood for a relaxed start to the day. The atmosphere is warm and inviting—bright, calm, and just the right balance of lively without feeling rushed. Service was genuinely friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was beautifully presented and thoughtfully prepared, perfect for enjoying slowly while taking in the scenery. A great place to linger over breakfast, soak up the view, and leave feeling refreshed and well looked after.
A beautiful but slightly quirky place. Set in a wonderful location there is plenty of space and the service is very good. We came for lunch, and I found the menu a bit quirky, with a mix of staples (burger, steak, pasta) and some dishes that felt a little alternative. My main was good enough but the desert was a little bland. I'd come back again for the location but maybe not the food, at least for my tastes. Judging by other reviews, breakfast is a much more reliable choice
Have been here three times now and the food and view and atmosphere were exceptional each time. Especially loved the creme brûlée rice pudding with plum sorbet dessert.
Sadly very disappointed with this experience today 20/8/25 booked for my daughters birthday Long wait to be attended by head waiter Not even a happy birthday greeting so not felt welcoming at all Raining a lot ,long walk from carpark which is paid $4 an hour Venue pretty but cold no offer of heater or throw rug - draughty behind plastic cafe curtain today 13degrees!🥶 Although service friendly not very attentive Food the most disappointing - not good value $65 a head photos included we have had high tea in many venues and this was definitely the worst ! the conette very overpowering garlic taste French onion tartlet very strong flavour didn’t like the eggplant topping on small sandwich either looked good but didn’t taste good Liked the salmon rollette and chicken sandwich Basic sweet selection. Nothing special and meagre for cost of . Scone nice was warm thankfully Poor range of tea nothing compared to the barracks high tea options - very basic I expect a few more choices Would not recommend unless not hungry and going there to look at decor Can’t control the weather but need to think of patrons options when obviously cold day sitting out on a verandah Liked the vintage teacups but run of the mill teapots spoilt the tea service setting Small water view but not able to be enjoyed as weather not good today Wouldn’t recommend nicer places to go than here sadly
I come here for a midweek lunch every now and then and it never disappoints. The tuna sashimi and slow cooked octopus pappardelle last Thursday were divine. Location stunning as always even in the middle of winter. Go down and support these guys, it was too empty to be serving food of this calibre on a beautiful sunny day.
