A lovely Mexican themed bar and restaurant in Balmain. The fit out and music brings taqueria vibes. We tried the fish tacos, burrito bowl and cubano sandwich. All dishes were tasty with fresh ingredients and good flavours. We really enjoyed the fish tacos and cubano. Have to come back and try their cocktails and drinks!
Enjoyed our visit to Cantina tonight. We came in quite late but were still welcomed warmly by the staff. The 6 taco tasting plate was excellent! the beef taco was the standout for me, absolutely delicious, but the grilled prawn taco was also fantastic. Great flavours across the board, paired perfectly with a really good margarita. Overall, a great vibe, lovely service and definitely worth coming back for.
Great experience overall. The margaritas are amazingly flavorful and I could taste the vanilla bean note in the passionfruit margarita. The chili rim on the mango one was very well done and we enjoyed the chimichanga greatly. The chicken fajita tacos were not my favorite and the duck carnitas tostadas, while yummy and well textured, were cold and probably had been sitting for a while because they came out
The food here is absolutely amazing! The tacos are super juicy, and the meat is perfectly grilled — tender and full of flavor. The beef tartare is incredibly delicious, and it goes so well with the crispy corn chips. The skewers are a true classic — the combination of sausage and prawns is just perfect. And you definitely can’t miss the cocktails! I love passionfruit, highly recommended! They’re fresh, fruity, and generous with the alcohol — a perfect way to start the meal!!!
Perfect place to chill on a Sunday night with soft music and a yummy variety of Tacos. All the food we ordered was delicious, and the red Sangria complemented the dishes nicely. Very friendly and attentive service!
