Very delicious and affordable food Jhol momo is a must try and they have really good range of Nepalese snacks If you haven’t been here definitely give it a stop
Ordered jhol laphing, dry laphing, and pani puri. The pani puri was so bad I literally threw it straight in the bin after two bites. It tasted off and just didn’t feel fresh at all plus had very pungent taste to it. The laphing was just as bad. It didn’t even feel like proper laphing sheets, more like boiled momo wrappers. The texture was completely wrong. And the sauce; I don’t know how they call it “manju special.” It just tasted like a heap of garlic mixed into momo achar. That’s not laphing. I was hungry so I somehow forced it down with Coke, but yeah not enjoyable at all. And the place itself? Really dirty and filthy. The fridge, walls, floors everything looked like it needed a proper clean. It honestly made me question the hygiene. I don’t understand the hype on Instagram and TikTok. Maybe instead of that, spend some time fixing the food and cleaning the place. Never coming back. Wouldn’t recommend.
We ordered several items after a long day at work, hoping for a good meal, but the experience was really disappointing. The alu nimki was okay, but definitely not impressive. The momo and syaphale was burnt, the momo tasted like burnt food, and even the sauce was so bad. We were tired and hungry, but it felt like a complete waste of money. The quality did not match the hype at all. Please don’t go after TikTok hype and rather order from somewhere more reliable, or cook at home instead of spending your money these food.
Visited Capital Laphing on February 19,2026 at around 6pm and ordered Aalu Nimki, Pani Puri, Veg Momo, Chowmein, and Dry Laphing. Here’s my honest review: Aalu Nimki: Something different and refreshing in taste. I genuinely liked this one — probably the highlight of the visit. Pani Puri: Quite average. The filling felt bland and the pani lacked the tangy kick you expect. However, the puris were soft and nicely made. Veg Momo: Very disappointing. I’ve always enjoyed veg momos, but I couldn’t even finish them here. The filling tasted stale and overly loaded with MSG. It didn’t feel fresh at all. Chowmein: My wife ordered this and found it underwhelming — nothing special and not very convincing in flavor. Dry Laphing: Tried laphing for the first time, and unfortunately this experience didn’t encourage me to try it again. The taste just didn’t work for me. Ambience & Ventilation: The store was filled with smoke with a weird smell , and the ventilation seemed poor. As someone with asthma, this made the experience uncomfortable and concerning. Proper airflow is really important, especially in a food establishment. Overall: Very ordinary experience. While the prices are fairly low, the quality, taste, and overall environment feel highly overrated. I had much higher expectations.
Tried the laphing and alu nimkin today, but honestly it was disappointing. The laphing was too spicy and had too much garlic, and the flavours didn’t feel balanced. It didn’t really live up to the hype.
