I recently visited Cecilia in North Sydney for a casual lunch with a friend, and we were truly impressed by both the quality of the food and the creativity of the menu. Chef Vincenzo clearly puts his Italian soul into every dish, combining authentic flavours with refined techniques and beautiful presentation. We started with an outstanding focaccia served with truffle and porcini mushroom butter, followed by a fresh burrata resting on a bed of tomato and rosemary jam, finished with chilli honey. The ocean trout crudo with Aperol and yuzu dressing was fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. For our pasta course, we enjoyed the ziti with slow-cooked lamb ragù, which was rich, comforting, and full of flavour. The highlight of the main course was the incredibly tender and delicious flank steak, served with salsa verde, sautéed mushrooms, and brown butter. On the side, the charred broccolini with almond emulsion, chilli, and pecorino was simply outstanding. The Italian staff were friendly, attentive, and highly professional, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend Cecilia to anyone looking for a welcoming atmosphere, exceptional service, and refined Italian flavours. It is a restaurant that successfully combines elegance, authenticity, and passion in every dish.
A hidden gem in North Sydney, just steps from Victoria Cross Station. We visited for lunch and were blown away by the intimate atmosphere and fine dining experience. Every dish was exceptional, especially the Ocean Trout with Yuzu Aperol, Burrata, house-made Focaccia, Dry-Aged Fish, and the handmade pasta. Authentic flavours, beautiful presentation, and outstanding service. Can't wait to come back!
Absolutely loved my experience at Cecilia! The food was amazing, not a single complaint about it! The waiters were kind and amazing people who made the experience even better. With the vibey, classy environment being the cherry on top. Highly recommend Cecilia whether it’s a date night or a girls dinner. 10/10
My gym friend and I dropped in here after our class, and it was the perfect post-workout treat. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the host, setting a great vibe for the night. The highlights: Focaccia & Flavored Butter: We started with this, and it was honestly to die for. Salmon Pistachio Pesto: This wasn't even on the menu anymore, but Chef Alessio was kind enough to make it for us anyway! He even took the time to show us how he prepares the pesto—such a special, personal touch. Tiramisu: We don’t have a photo because we literally inhaled it in seconds. It was too delicious to even look at for long! A massive thank you to Chef Alessio and the whole team for the incredible hospitality and top-tier food. We’ll definitely be back for more. Highly recommended! 💚
We were fortunate to have our last dinner of our Sydney trip at Cecilia. It was truly a wonderful dinner. We will never forget the precious memories we had at Cecilia. Thank you for your hospitality and excellent food.
