Very nice food. Tasty and beautifully presented. It’s been a while since I haven’t had such a nice pork belly and we enjoyed it very much. Each member of my family ordered something different, and we usually share but this time we ended up being quite protective of our own selection.

We had a very disappointing experience here. We arrived at around 11:20am with a 4-year-old child and ordered a simple fried rice. The restaurant was completely empty at the time, yet our food didn’t arrive until 11:50am — a 30-minute wait for a very basic dish. During this time, the staff seemed focused on preparing takeaway orders and completely ignored dine-in customers, especially considering we had a young child waiting. The fried rice itself was very average and not worth the wait at all. Overall, this place is not kid-friendly and lacks basic consideration for dine-in guests. Would not recommend, especially for families.

It’s a hidden gem that’s incredibly delicious. The dishes are truly authentic Thai, just like what I’ve had in Thailand. I highly recommend it.

My experience with Chat Thai today was very disappointing and unexpected, especially as someone who has ordered from Chat Thai many times. This is the first time I have been treated this way over the phone. I placed an order through Uber Eats and realised that I had accidentally selected the wrong item. I called the restaurant and spoke with a staff member to ask whether one item could be changed. She said she would confirm with her manager. She later advised that the change could not be made because there was a price difference. I asked whether there was any other way to resolve the issue, and she told me to cancel the order through Uber Eats. I explained that I could not do this without being charged a cancellation fee of $47.50. The call was then disconnected. I called back and spoke with Kate. Unfortunately, her manner was very rude and dismissive. She repeatedly told me that nothing could be done and that I should simply cancel the order and place it again. I explained once more that this would cost me approximately $47 in cancellation fees. I then asked to speak with the manager. Kate told me that the manager was not on shift, which was confusing because the first staff member had already said that she had spoken with the manager about my request. I asked whether the restaurant could cancel the order from their end so I could place a new one, but Kate again said this was not possible and repeated that the manager was unavailable. I understand that changing the order may not have been possible due to the price difference. However, the situation could have been explained more clearly, and I could have been treated with greater patience, respect, and professionalism. The way the calls were handled made the experience much more frustrating than it needed to be.

Yum I had the Tom Yum Goong and also chicken satay skewers for lunch 3rd August. The soup was amazing tangy with a bit of spice and full of prawns, mushrooms, onions , tomato and authentic Thai flavors. The skewers also can with steams rice and the best Satay Sauce i have had in a long time. Sad to say I live in Melbourne and was up there for work for the day but will be back next time I am up. Thank you!
