Just the taste and experience I was after. The portion size was very generous (I had the barramundi) and it would easily have fed two people. The chips were hot and crunchy, the fish had a nice subtle flavour, was hot, and perfectly cooked. They asked if I wanted chicken salt before seasoning which was very thoughtful. Both front staff were polite and friendly. Location had a small seatinh area that was out of the weather and clean. Beware that the seagulls act very polite until you feed them and then they get a tad overwhelming.

My experience at Chish and Fips was wonderful, service was great, the food was delicious, I had a fish burger and my friend had the grilled barramundi, we ate it there and the atmosphere was lovely. Great place to eat fish and chips. It tasted fresh and wasn’t at all heavy. Some of the comments on here are harsh and my experience was a great one.

The best spot in Coogee to enjoy a feast of fish & chips (if you can keep the local bird snatchers at bay 😂) Friendly service, Generous portions & great prices too.

Not as good as it used to be. The filet in the fish burger was real thin and kinda dry, so unsatisfying. Pretty sure they used to give a whole proper fish and chips filet in the burger. Not quite worth the price. Bread and salad was good tho.
