Loved this place! The Crying Tiger beef was tender and full of flavour, and the crispy pork was honestly one of the best I’ve had in Sydney. Good value, fresh food, and everything came out really tasty. Great spot for Thai food in Victoria Cross.
Amazing Thai feast in North Sydney 🇹🇭 at Doodee King The Verdict: The absolute standout for me was the Doodee Stewed Pork Hock - it is incredibly tender, rich, and melts the second you eat it. Pair that with the citrusy, fiery punch of the Prawn Tom Yum and you have the perfect balance. On the sweeter side, the Thai Churros are mandatory to finish your meal. perfectly crispy on the outside and airy in the middle. What We Smashed: 🐖 Doodee Stewed Pork Hock – Fall-apart tender and deeply savoury. 🦐 Prawn Tom Yum – Citrusy, authentic, and packed with heat. 🦑 Grilled Squid – Beautifully charred and tender. 🥩 Crying Tiger – Perfectly grilled with a great smoky finish. 🥭 Mango Sticky Rice & Thai Churros – The ultimate double-header dessert finish!
[Update: The restaurant reached out to me and responded very thoughtfully. They took the issue seriously and advised that the food would be investigated further. I truly appreciate their follow-up and responsible approach.] I ordered this dish today and had already eaten about half of it when I noticed a small cluster of white, bead-like objects in the food (as shown in the photo). I stopped eating immediately as I was unsure what it was and felt concerned about food safety. I checked the opening hours and noticed that the restaurant was already closed, so I haven’t been able to contact them yet. I hope the restaurant can look into this and provide an explanation.
Really enjoyed the food here, especially the Moo Ping and soft-shell crab Pad Thai, and the cocktails were also surprisingly good.
The thai milk tea here is SO good!! So smooth and creamy 🥹 The moo ding skewers are so good too, definitely a must have when you eat here. To finish off we had the mango sticky rice and the sticky rice!!! Is!!! So fragrant and chewy!! 😍 definitely worth it!
