Visited the place for Mothers day. Opp yo Cronulla esplande. If you book ahead you get good views. We tried a few options. Their cocktails were great. Not much of a mexican vibe from the ambience. Food quantity could be better for the pricing they have but food was not good, atypical but traditional mexican menu. Food - 4 Atmosphere-4 Ambience - 2.5 Value for money -3 I would recommend this place for special occassions. With Cocktails and Food for 3 adults we shelled upperside of $400.
Amazing first time experience at El Ray's. The cocktails were awesome, my fav the jalapeʼno margarita!! We had the pulled beef nachos, snapper cevichè, barramundi and pork tacos. Everything was fresh and bursting with flavour. The service was immaculate, timing of food and drinks arriving at our table was perfect. Couldn't have asked for a better night out. Thanks El Ray, we'll be back!!!
What an incredible dining experience at El Rey! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, vibrant, and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. A special mention to Phoenix, who looked after us throughout the evening. Their friendly, attentive service and genuine hospitality made our night even more enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble, and they went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience. Exceptional food, outstanding service, and a great vibe all around. We can’t wait to come back!
I’ve been coming to El Rey for a few years now, and it is hands down my favourite restaurant in the shire. The food is always incredible! Phoenix is absolutely amazing. She is always so kind, welcoming, and genuinely goes above and beyond to make every visit special. You can tell she puts so much care and effort into her customers, and it’s one of the biggest reasons i love coming back. I couldn’t recommend El Rey more highly. 😊
We hadn’t been here for a few years and wanted a Mexican meal that wasn’t GYG. Easy booking online a few days out and our table was ready on arrival. Staff were lovely, attentive but not over bearing. Great menu that kept everyone happy and the drinks menu was just as good. It seemed quite busy but the drinks came out really quick, cocktails included, and the food came out without a long wait; spacing between course was perfect. The corn ribs were a standout. Good mix of young and older families, girls and parents night out while we were there. Will definitely return.
