I love the amount of gluten free options at this place. I ordered a cheeky monkey bowl, it felt like i was eating a bowl of chocolate, so delicious! The coffee was okay. The service was friendly. I didn’t particularly like lining up to order, but it’s probably necessary, so they don’t get people dining and dashing. If there was another way to pay and order at the table, that would be my preference.
I’ve been to Castle Tower for many times but this is the first time I eat in Girdlers. Simple but thoughtful menu. We order three crepes to share between the 4 of us for breakfast. They are delicious! The savoury crepes are crispy on the edges and soft inside. Ingredients and flavours balanced really well. Nice coffee. Coffee art needs a bit of work. But the taste is great! Will come back again for some healthy whole food 👍
The cappuccino was standard — not bad, but the foam lacked that creamy texture I look for, and the coffee itself leaned toward the lighter side. The dish looked great on arrival: a perfectly poached egg, a colorful bed of kale and greens, and a thoughtful layout that made the whole plate feel healthy and inviting. The cauliflower was nicely seasoned but too soft for my taste — I prefer a bit of crunch for contrast. And then there was the bacon. Intensely salty — so much so that even after finishing the dish, drinking a full glass of water and half a cup of coffee, the salt still lingered in my throat.A shame, really. Everything else was trying to sing, but the bacon came in like a cymbal crash and stole the mic.
Brightly lit and clean Ordered the French galette and size portion very reasonable with plenty of bacon however quite rough and burnt. Coffee was ok nothing much to mention. Service was average because the middle aged lady with black hair couldn’t bother to greet a customer with a smile.
I walked past last week and the food looked amazing, so we decided to come for breakfast and the food not only did it have excellent presentation but it was absolutely delicious! We will definitely make Girdlers one of our favourite cafes.
