We recently visited Hong Fa Chinese Restaurant and it absolutely delivered on that classic, comforting Chinese dining experience. From the moment we walked in, the vibe felt familiar and welcoming — no fuss, just good honest food done well. The menu is packed with all the favourites, and everything we ordered came out fresh, hot, and full of flavour. The standout for us was the honey fried chicken — incredibly crisp, chunky pieces with that perfect balance of sweetness and crunch. The Hokkien fried rice was generous and packed with flavour, exactly what you want from a proper local Chinese spot. We also loved the stir-fried snow peas & broccoli — light, fresh and cooked to perfection, a great contrast to the richer dishes. And for me, the real hero was the Hong Fa roast pork — generous portions, tender meat and that beautifully crispy crackling that you just keep going back for. Service was friendly and efficient, and the food came out quickly even though they were busy — always a good sign of a well-run kitchen. It’s the kind of place you go when you want reliable, tasty Chinese food without any pretence — and it delivers every time. We’ll definitely be back.
Ordered roast duck and roast pork. The port was amazing, a few pieces of the duck as lots of meat a lot had hardly any! The ride was quite nice needed more sauce/gravy.
I had the most amazing Chinese dinner the other night. The highlight of the meal was definitely the perfectly roasted duck - it was simply the best in town! I highly recommend this place for an incredible dining or take out the experience.
The service is good. The food is good.Love the painting on the wall. My most favourite food is the crisp pork. It makes me feel calm and better. The atmosphere is good too.
Been meaning to try this place for a while and it didn’t disappoint. Roast pork was a highlight but we enjoyed all the food.
