Hugo’s Manly is an absolute standout. The food was exceptional, every dish was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. The service was equally impressive. The location is hard to beat, with spectacular waterfront views. Add to that the vibrant atmosphere and amazing vibe. Hugo’s delivered on every level. Outstanding food, outstanding service, and an unbeatable setting. Highly recommended!!
We had a beautiful night at Hugos Manly. The service was absolutely outstanding — staff were attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience feel special. The food also tasted amazing. However, both my friend and I experienced diarrhea the next day, which was disappointing after such a great evening. Hopefully this was just an isolated incident, as the overall experience at the time was really enjoyable.
First time at Hugo’s and I was looking forward to the experience. Friends had been many times before and raved about it, excited to see if I felt the same. From the get-go, it was the staff. All super friendly, welcoming and even though it was really busy, they all seemed like they genuinely enjoyed working there and appeared to get on well with each other. Our waitress for lunch was Poppy and she was just brilliant! Very attentive without being overbearing and so much patience dealing with a bunch of 8 guys who were too busy talking to look at the menu 😂 As for the food, I’d already checked out the menu and was looking forward to trying the barramundi. Unfortunately, not this time. One of our mates who is a regular at Hugo’s, ordered for the table which was all shared plates. I was happy for someone to take charge (it’s usually me 😉) but when the food came out, I could see why he’s a regular and knew what to order. We started with Kingfish carpaccio, Sydney rock oysters, Pork & beef meatballs baked with cherry tomatoes, Roasted cauliflower and Fried calamari with chilli sea salt (well there were 8 of us!). For mains we shared a couple of pizzas and a mixed leaf salad. I quickly forgot about the barramundi! The flavours and presentation of the meals was fantastic. Each dish had their own subtle differences without influencing the taste of the others. Trust me, I took full advantage of all the chatter to sneak an extra piece of pizza! Hugo’s was definitely a dining experience and one you need to book for. It’s right on the water within easy access of the ferry and on a summer’s day, it would be amazing! Highly recommend a visit and if you go, have the barramundi and let me know what it was like 😉
Well located just outside the ferry wharf. We could see dolphins playing not faraway. The crab spaghettini is the best.
Hugos Manly Beach is a must do dining experience. 😊 ✅Spectacular location on the waterfront. ✅Food is amazing, quality ingredients and beautifully presented. ✅Wine list impressive, cocktails amazing. The raspberry spritz was a first I have encountered- pink gin, raspberry liquor, raspberry toric with crushed raspberries - had to have three! 🍹🍹🍹 ✅Staff were highly attentive, professional and ensured our dining experience was memorable. Thanks Alexa 👏🙌 and the whole crew. ✅Highly recommend a visit, you won’t be disappointed!
