JINJJA JOKBAL JIB Lidcombe completely lives up to the Reels and TikTok hype! Just a short 5-minute walk from Lidcombe station, it’s an absolute must-visit. Make sure to get here early or lateish, otherwise you will definitely be lining up for a table. The main menu is wonderfully simple, focusing on jokbal (braised pork hock) and bossam (boiled pork belly). We had a group of 4 and it only came out to around $25 per person, which is an incredibly fair price for the massive amount of food you get. Everything is served on a huge spinning lazy Susan plate, making it so easy to share the side dishes around the table. The jokbal was insanely tender, juicy, and packed with a perfect variety of textures—from the fatty bits to the chewy, tendinous pieces. The spicy option has a serious kick (think a bit more than Shin Ramyun but less than Buldak fire noodles), but it's incredibly flavorful. The bossam was equally perfect—tender pork belly with a slightly chewy skin that tastes elite wrapped in lettuce with kimchi and ssamjang. We also got the buckwheat noodles, which were a super refreshing pairing, the fun DIY seaweed rice balls where you roll them yourself using a glove, and the spicy chicken feet stew with bean sprouts. Easily a 5/5 meal. I'm already planning my next visit to cure the jokbal cravings I didn’t even know I had!

I’m really happy to have discovered such amazing and authentic Korean food here. It’s not because I’ve been to Korea, but because my Korean friend recommended this place to me。she told me it was truly great, and brought me here to try it. The food was absolutely delicious. The pork leg meat was perfectly cooked—tender yet slightly chewy, with a great texture. There was no unpleasant pork smell at all, which made it even more enjoyable. The portion size was also very generous—so much that we couldn’t even finish everything. I’m genuinely glad I had the chance to try such incredible food. Highly recommended!

As others had reviewed, food is excellent and reasonably priced. In fact the portion is huge so most tables ended up taking away some food. With the takeaways containers, This is the only Korean restaurant that doesn’t charge extra, which to me is very much appreciated. But what i want to highlight here is their top notch customer service. We went on Friday dinner time and the wait time is minimal, the lady who served us is extremely kind and attentive. Love this place.

This korean restaurant serving jokbal and bossam lives up to the reels and tiktok hype!! Get here early or lateish or else you will line up for a table. The mains dishes here are very simple. There is jokbal (braised pork hock) with spicy/non-spicy option, and bossam (korean pork belly - typically eaten wrapped in lettuce with side dishes) , or you can get half and half. It’s served on a big plate, which spins so people around the table can easily reach side dishes. One plate was a massive serving by itself, easily enough for 3 people or 2 if you are hungry with a big appetite. Jokbal- braised pork hock was so tender and juicy. Theres some fatty bits, some chewy and tendinous bits; a variety of textures for your mouth. **The spicy option tasted quite spicy for non-spice lovers but to me it was very flavourful. (Spice level think a bit more than shin ramyun but less than fire noodles.) I could eat this everyday and not get bored. Bossam- tender korean braised pork belly with a slightly chewy skin texture. Well seasoned and perfect alone with a bit of ssamjang or wrapped in lettuce with kimchi. We also got a chicken feet stew with rice ball. The rice ball is a mixture of seaweed, seasoned rice and some other ingredients and you basically use a glove and make rice balls yourself. The stew had braised chicken feet with bean sprouts in a spicy stew. Steamed egg - I was surprised at it being $20. It was very soft and smooth but the price was definitely a premium. Overall I think the price is fair, and the food was definitely almost a 5/5. Would definitely come again to cure my jokbal cravings that I didn’t know I had!

This was my 4th time at Jinja, and the pork hocks are consistently an 11/10. Always super juicy and tender, and the free side refills just make it even better. The service and food are incredibly fast despite how busy it gets. The only downside is the wait (around 40 minutes), but honestly, it’s 100% worth it every time.
