Koshari Korner is one of those places that makes you feel like you've travelled somewhere completely different without leaving Sydney. The atmosphere is beautiful, with colourful Egyptian décor, traditional textiles, lanterns and warm lighting that create such a welcoming and authentic experience. The food was incredible. Everything tasted fresh, flavourful and thoughtfully prepared. We especially loved being able to try traditional Egyptian dishes and flavours that you don't often find elsewhere. A standout for me was the rose water hot chocolate. It was unlike anything I've had before – rich, smooth and perfectly balanced with the delicate floral flavour of rose water. It was comforting, unique and honestly worth coming back for on its own. The staff were friendly and passionate about the food and culture, which made the experience even more special. Whether you're vegan or simply looking to try something new, Koshari Korner is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back! 🌹☕️✨
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had such a great experience at Koshari Korner in Marrickville Sydney. This spot is a hidden gem for authentic Egyptian food. The koshari is a must try, rich, filling and packed with flavour. The shakshouka was warm and comforting with a beautiful tomato base, and the fried cauliflower was crispy and addictive. The dips platter with fresh bread was perfect to start. Everything looked amazing and tasted even better. Highly recommend if you are looking for Egyptian food, Middle Eastern cuisine, or something different in Sydney. Great flavours, generous portions, and a really nice vibe. 📸Photos by @capturedbyminty
Their interiors are very warm and vibrant! Even though I usually don’t like eggplant much, this one was seasoned so well 🤯 and tastes incredible with roasted almonds My first time trying koshari, consisting of rice, macaroni, lentils, tomato sauce, vinegar, crispy onions and chickpeas 🍅🍚 A very unique cuisine worth trying! Most dishes were also gluten free too
Kosheri Korner was such a fantastic experience from start to finish. As someone who absolutely loves koshari, this felt like pure comfort food and I genuinely enjoyed every single bite. The flavours were rich, hearty, and beautifully balanced — exactly the kind of authentic taste I was hoping for.The atmosphere also added so much to the experience. The vibe felt very Egyptian, from the setup to the overall energy of the place, which made the meal feel even more special and immersive.Absolutely loved it and will definitely be coming back whenever I’m craving this favourite delicacy of mine.
I recently tried Egyptian food for the first time at this place and it was a delightful experience! We ordered a variety of dishes to share and everything was delicious. The felafel was a standout, and we even ordered it twice! The shakshuka, sammusa, and other dishes were also really nice. The staff were helpful, warm, and friendly, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant is located next to a carpark with plenty of parking spots. The food was flavorful and satisfying without being too heavy.
