We came in today on a quiet Wednesday. The food was good and the owners took time to made it. We ordered the grilled chicken with broken rice, special com tam (grilled pork ribs) with broken rice, and banh canh (tapioca noodles). Don’t be discouraged by the quiet ambience, it is worth a try, especially with the reasonable price. Next time I’ll try more special dishes like nem lui and bo nhung dam :)
The first time visiting La Ca 43 and the broken rice (cơm tấm) was the highlight — so good. The pork was tender and flavourful, and the fish sauce on the side tasted just like any good cơm tấm spot in Saigon. The crab noodles were a bit light for me, but still good. I’ll definitely be back to try the rest. Bonus: the staff and the owner are really friendly and lovely.
First time to dine here. Food is tasty, very affordable and very generous serving. I'll be back to try your other hot pot.
An authentic Vietnamese restaurant that focuses on specialities from Da Nang, it is quite welcoming to see another region of Vietnamese food offered in Bankstown. The Pho Bo Dac Biet has a simple and light broth and usually vermicelli noodles. Beef slices were fresh and it included a crab roe ball. The pork chop was well marinated and the nem nuong was grilled well. The ice coffee was strong. The food came quickly and staff was friendly. Overall enjoyed my visit here. 👍
La Ca 43 is the newest Vietnamese restaurant in Bankstown! Specialising in food from Da Nang we were happy to try different dishes we don't normally see in other restaurants. The restaurant was very clean and the food came out very quickly. We were surprised how affordable and great value each dish was.
