I was recommended to try this OG Lao place, so we went on Friday evening for dinner and arrived at 7pm the place was fully packed. After waiting for 10 minutes we got our table. The menu is simple not too many options but very accomodating for people who don't eat spicy food and for kids. Those who are brave enough can also try 'balut' here. The service is friendly enough, the place is not too big but clean. The toilets are also clean with separate hand wash basin. I enjoyed the food and too bad I didn't get to sample their Beer Lao as they were sold out. I will definitely come back here to try more.
We’ve been going here for over 15 years and it never disappoints! We’ve tried every dish on the menu and love them all—it just depends on what we feel like every time we go. Over time, the prices have increased but the food hasn’t changed and the quantity has stayed the same! My go-tos are the ox tongue, Laos papaya salad, raw beef salad and combination fried rice. If you’re feeling like something new or trying Lao food for the first time, why not try the raw prawn salad, tripe salad or Lao sausages! Drinks wise—the Thai milk tea or soda lemon are my recs!
If you want a tasty Lao meal, then come here! You’ll find it quite surprising, as it has similar flavours of the Thai cuisines. We ordered, Seafood Fried Rice, BBQ Beef, Green Curry, Larb(Pork based salad), Beef Stir Fry Noodles, Grilled Ox Tongue and Sticky rice. All delicious, all very tasty and seasoned well. Highly recommend
This local restaurant has been around for a long time. Been eating here when they were operating in a small shop on the side. I love the ox tongue, fry quail, paw paw salad and crunchy fried rice. Their soup dishes are a bit salty for me. Still recommended if you want to try Lao/Thai dishes in Fairfield and Cabramatta areas.
I haven’t been to Laos Village and they did not disappoint! The service was fantastic and quick, offering us drinks and we opted for the iced tea. The food was so fresh and flavourful. One of my favourite spots for Larb (raw beef). My partner can’t handle spice and, even though there was a bit of a kick to the mild spiciness, it wasn’t too overpowering and he was as able to enjoy it too.
