We recently booked a table for 10 people at Laughin Boy Café in Emu Plains for a work team-building brunch. Our waitress, Hannah, was fantastic throughout the visit. She was friendly, helpful, accommodating, and kept us updated on our orders. Unfortunately, there was a wait of just over 50 minutes for our meals to arrive. Hannah explained that the kitchen was experiencing a high volume of orders and apologised for the delay, which we appreciated. When our meals arrived, a few dishes were missing some items, but as soon as we mentioned it, the missing items were brought out promptly along with an apology. Despite the wait, all of the meals were well presented, served hot, and tasted great. The flavours were excellent, and everyone in our group enjoyed their food. The location is lovely, the facilities are comfortable, and the overall atmosphere made for an enjoyable morning. While the wait time was longer than expected, the quality of the food and the excellent customer service from Hannah helped make the experience a positive one overall.

We arrived just before 9 am on a Friday, it was already quite crowded. A hard-working, friendly staff member attended to us immediately, and quickly showed us to a table for two. We ordered two coffees and two servings of scones. Our items were placed on our table with little delay, the coffees were very nice, and the scones were warm and fresh, and went well with the jam and cream provided. We both enjoyed our snack before setting off on our walking trip around Penrith, Laughin' Boy is ideally located near to the entrance of the Yandhai Nepean Crossing pedestrian bridge.

If you’re searching for a spot that combines great food, refreshing drinks, and a stunning riverside view, Laughin Boy is an absolute must-visit. We ordered the salmon poke bowl, steak and shrimp tacos, and the kids’ fish and chips — every single dish was excellent. The iced cold brew was the perfect finishing touch. But what truly made the experience was the friendly, welcoming staff who made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual bite or a leisurely afternoon by the water, Laughin Boy delivers on every front. Highly recommend!

I recently brought a group here, and I honestly cannot thank the team enough. Even though it was busy, every single staff member took the time to be so genuinely lovely and chatty with the people I look after—it meant the world to us. That kind of kindness and patience is rare, and it went such a long way. On top of the incredible service, the food was absolutely beautiful, came out so quickly, and was packed with flavour. A perfect experience from start to finish. Thank you for making our visit so special—we'll definitely be back!

We had a great late breakfast here. All of the staff were beyond friendly and helpful, they made sure to check on us a few times and were very warm and welcoming- really making a great experience for us. All the food we ordered was delicious, the steak and eggs were such a standout for me, big portion and tasted great. We also ordered the standard deep dish pancake, the Brekky roll and some potato scallops to share and we couldn’t fault anything, even the smoothies we got were so yum. We really enjoyed our visit here and can’t wait to return.
