Beautiful! Lua at the new fish markets delivered a beautiful meal. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, and I’ve uploaded photos of all the dishes we tried, but to keep this review as brief as possible, I’ll just highlight a few standouts. The scallops were exceptional—sweet, delicate and beautifully balanced. The oysters were incredibly fresh, and watching the chef prepare them made the experience feel even more special. The Wagyu steak was wonderfully tender, while the clay pot rice was another favourite, with melt-in-your-mouth pork that was rich, comforting and full of flavour. Dessert was the perfect finish, with the tiramisu carrying beautiful Vietnamese coffee notes that made me want to immediately have an iced coffee (if only I wasn’t so full). A special mention to Jason, who came out to explain the dishes to us. His warmth, generosity and genuine passion for the food added so much to the experience and made us feel truly looked after. The entire team is lovely and the room and view are stunning. Highly recommend.

Saturday around lunchtime, we were able to get a table without any wait. The service was excellent from start to finish. All of the staff were friendly and attentive, and Berry, the head chef, took the time to explain every dish in detail, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The food was outstanding overall. Everything tasted fresh, high-quality, and beautifully prepared. The fish dish was definitely the highlight, so I highly recommend trying it! For dessert, the corn sorbet was perfectly balanced, not too sweet and very refreshing. The tiramisu was also delicious, especially with the coconut chips on top, which added a great texture and flavor. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and I would happily come back again.

Had an absolutely terrific experience at Lua. Everything about this place was on point - great location with stunning backdrops, casual but sophisticated setting, excellent service (thanks to the two amazing chefs), and most importantly, the food! Courses were timed and paced well, cooked to perfection and flavours comprising of a wonderful Asian infusion with modern twists. Highly recommend the scallops, bug fried rice and wagyu strips, but to be honest, everything on the menu was simply mouth watering. Definitely worth a visit, you won’t be disappointed!

This was one of the best meals we’ve had in years. We stumbled across Lua in a visit to the Fish Markets, and were immediately attracted to the items on the menu - they did not disappoint. Menu items are a mix of small bites and entrees to share and main courses. We had the kingfish crudo, scallops, ocean trout with betel leaf, Moreton Bay Bug fried rice, and the absolute stand out - the market fish in banana leaf, which was stunning. There’s a good range of beers and wine by the glass, superb mocktails, service was fast, friendly and extremely well informed, the location is excellent. A big plus for us was that just about everything was gluten free, or adaptable (apart from the dumplings) and staff were totally on top of this when it came to order, An absolutely first class meal.

The restaurant looks nice and the staff were good, but the food did not feel worth the price because the portion was small and the taste was not impressive. The possibility of coming back is low. Only good for one time try.
