Came here for lunch special and have chosen surf and turf pizza. Food was amazing! Beef were tender and full of favor and bread was fresh and soft but chewy. Our server Ella was lovely and attentive. This venue is dog friendly and will recommend to my friends and pooch communities. Def will come back for dinner celebration.
We first ordered the mezze platter and it was very delicious. Then we ordered the beef rib with pomegranate sauce, which was really good. We also tried the lamb shish with pomegranate sauce. The meat had a unique and unusual mix of spices that made the flavor interesting. Each dish came with a side salad. The vibe of the place was very nice, right by the water with a beautiful view. Also, the girl who served us was very nice and friendly and had black hair. Overall, we had a good experience.
On Mother’s Day, my girls and I booked the sparkling high tea for 11:30. We were the first ones there, yet got shoved at a tiny table in the far end near the bathroom and bar. When we asked to move closer to the water, the waiter guilt-tripped us, saying they were fully booked and asking if we wanted to see the list, as if we didn't have a booking too. After I told them i want to make content for my 12K followers, They moved us into another small table but at least in a sunny and airy space. The tea cups came stained. The food was just okay, nothing wow. As a Middle Eastern, I know better, the cauliflower was barely cooked and tasteless, not rustic at all. Then the sweets arrived stale and on a small plate, not on a tier like the website showed. when we asked The waiter said the food we got was meant for six people, not three. How is that our fault? And that the sweets was meant to be two pieces per person. We felt punished with that sad platter. For a top-tier area like Barangaroo and top-tier prices, service and food should be top-tier too. We were so disappointed.
Really nice restaurant, close to darling harbour wharf, easy to get access with great view in good weather. If you are a meat lover like me, highly recommended their high tea, spending some time with several friends. The desserts were also really delicious, very authentic Middle East style.
Dinner near the harbour with good food and a vibe ambience? Yes, please. Was a great choice to have dinner here on the last day to cap off an amazing time in Sydney + my business trip. Mecca Bah didn’t disappoint. Would definitely come again next year! PS: awesome after sales support from Ally in regard to my receipt copy request! ;)
