Had a great experience at Newa Chen. The fried rice, noodles, jhol momo, and sausage skewers were all flavorful and well presented. The jhol momo was rich and spicy, and the noodles had a nice smoky taste. The kachila is a must try — full of authentic Newari flavor and one of the highlights of the meal. The portions were generous, the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Definitely a place I’d visit again for good Nepali food.
Our first visit, and it definitely won’t be our last! We called just 30 minutes before closing, and they still welcomed us warmly. The staff even checked that one of the dishes we ordered was for the kids, which was a thoughtful touch. The jhol momo, khaja set, and chowmein were all delicious, and they genuinely cared enough to ask how we found the food. Only small suggestion would be a few more chips with the kids’ meal. We’d happily recommend this place to anyone looking for great Nepalese food and hospitality.
Amazing. I had Samay baji set and fokso fry. You know it's going to be good on your first bite. With old Nepalese movie poster as your background and "Ankhura" to pour the water it's very much nostalgic. I'll be happy to be here again.
A gem find for authentic Newari food. Absolutely rooted and delicious food. Fokso fry was as authentic as it can get so are other food that we tried. Nice cozy atmosphere with good decor. A must-go for anyone who wants to revive or explore Newari food at its best.
Visited newchen restaurant and was blown away by the entire experience! The food was absolutely awesome – every dish was packed with flavor and tasted incredibly authentic. The atmosphere was also perfect, creating a really enjoyable dining environment. What really stood out, though, was the exceptional service. Our server, Ananya, was so friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. She really made our meal special! I highly recommend Newachen restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Nepali food and top-notch service.
