Cheap, quick & tasty Chinese food We ordered for takeaway and got the food quickly (~10min). Portions are quite big for the price, and the food is pretty good! We really liked the noodles - they had a nice bouncy texture. The vegetable&tofu was ok, very simple, but the hot&sour soup was tasty. The honey chicken had a nice sweet&savoury flavour but there were a lot of pieces of dough only - so would not recommend this dish.

Don't go. A bit of an institution for the area, service is simple and minimal (you can't order from the touch screen any more and it's not obvious where to order anymore and the person who might take your order is on the inconvenient far side of the bar). Food is generally ok with handmade noodles and dumplings being the specialty. Handmade noodles on average are more consistent. Pan fried dumplings are ok. Expect some variation between sittings since handmade food depends on who was in the kitchen making it. Questionably though, I had xiaolongbao which was likely steamed from frozen and had freezer burn and rips and tears in the skin and was missing any soupiness inside, and I asked myself why I still visit here when they clearly give no cares about what they're pushing out. Condiments are self serve at the table, but they don't clean or fix the bottles, the soy and vinegar are sticky and the pourer was twisted badly in my vinegar bottle and couldn't pour anything more than a drop at a time last night. The lid on the chilli oil had a thick, dried, dusty and sticky crust, clearly never having been wiped clean in months, just filthy. I tried coming in to support them as a local over the last year but if they've taken it from minimal to not a care in the world then that's not a place I will ever care to go again.

Some of the best dumplings I have ever had. The pan fried were perfection just lightly fried and crispy on one side. People are lovely and friendly and best of all they have sweet chili sauce and the view sitting outside is great.

The food is average at best. The prawn dumplings were really good and tasted fresh. The fried dumplings and pork buns on the other hand? I've had better frozen ones from Coles. The service terrible.

In many places it is common for restaurants to fry frozen dumplings and serve them as “pan fried dumplings” in the Northern Chinese Noodle Restaurant, THAT IS NOT the case. This Dumplings are steamed then pan fried, best dumplings and very well made. Meat and filling are juicy & fresh. Pastry is steamed well and crisp when pan fried. Dumplings here are 8/10 - The Dumpling Connoisseur
