I'll start with the positive. Beautiful interior design of the place and the atmosphere was nice. Unfortunately the chefs didn't know what they were doing. I feel for the waitresses as they tried their best to accommodate my partner, who is anaphylactic to onions, garlic and chilli. The first dish that came out had onions rings on-top of the steak sandwiches. This was then returned and the allergies were explained again. The second time the dish came out there was chicken salt on the chips (onion and garlic powder/salt). If it wasn't for me tasting a chip before she started to eat she would have an anaphylactic reaction requiring an EpiPen and hospital visits. This unacceptable as the allergies were made very clear from the beginning. After sending the steak sandwich back twice we asked for the money back as my partnet did not feel safe eating there. As well as this, as seen in the photos the lamb souvlaki was more fat than meat and overcooked to the point where it was a struggle to swallow. In addition, the rest of the food was flavourless, either under/overcooked and poorly seasoned. To conclude I think the chefs require training on understanding allergies and the ingredients they use when cooking and preparing meals to prevent something like this happening again.

Met up with my mates from the Saints Club for our fortnightly meeting. This time we chose the Olive & Oak Restaurant at Easts Leagues Club. A great venue, modern, clean, light and lively. The restaurant was bustling on a Thursday lunchtime. We started our meal with a bottle of Garden of Eden Shiraz ($49 for members), a different taste to our normal flavours, but we found it easy to drink and bought a second bottle, later in our meal. I chose the well made, Supreme Pizza ($26), consisting of Cabanossi, Pepperoni, Ham, Mushroom, Capsicum & Mozzarella which tasted very nice and nothing was left on the plate. One mate chose the Tuscan Chicken ($28), consisting of oven cooked Chicken Thighs in Oregano, Ragu of Capsicum, Onion, Garlic, Basil & touch of Chilli served w/ Mash & Broccolini and the other mate chose the Tasmanian Salmon Fillet ($33) consisting of 200g pan-fried salmon fillet w/ chat potato & parsley lemon butter. The cakes and coffee at the end of our meal included a delicious, Velvet Cake served with cream and an amazingly rich, Chocolate Mud Cake served with cream. We all enjoyed our meals and found plenty of choices for our next visit to the club. Service was warm and friendly and efficient. The restaurant was airy and open and included modern tones and a crispy clean ambiance. A really enjoyable place to meet up and eat lunch. A meal at this restaurant is highly recommended.

Such hit and miss experiences. It really depends on what you order. Avoid salads, nachos and tacos... they have no idea what they are doing. The nachos are served as a bowl of mush and beyond disgusting. Tacos have no seasoning but I was able to at least eat them. Salads are drowned in dressing and quite inedible. But on the other hand their pizzas and basic fish/chips are lovely and large portions. My partner also enjoys their sunday lamb roast. Basically avoid anything not typical in Australia (all Mexican food) and anything with dressing ask for it as a side.

Horrible service and average food at best. The lady at the front reception was probably one of the rudest people i've ever met so immediately my friend and I were put off by this place, and it only went downhill. We went upstairs and sat at an empty table and it was clear that all the coasters had been used as they were water stained. "Clean" table with used paper coasters stacked up made us question if it was really all that clean. My friend and I ordered a margherita pizza to share...below average. Incredibly bland. Crust was dry and tomato sauce had no flavour, it felt like paste straight out of a tube. There are so many other better restaurants in the area, go somewhere else.

I went there to catch up with friends at the end of the year. Our reservation was at 6pm so it didn't seem too busy. The service is okay , Ordering for drinks and food is done at the cashier. The food was delicious and I'm satisfied that the price is not too high♡
