A lovely dinner venue for special occasions. Quiet and sophisticated setting with good food, a nice selection of drinks, and great customer service. Highly recommend for a relaxed and elegant night out.
The staff and aesthetics are nice, but the main dining attraction of has been a bit of a letdown. Passable but not great. I’ve ordered 3 rare steaks here on seperate trips and all of them have arrived overcooked. The first time the staff took the order wrong and intentionally brought out a medium, kindly replaced it, but still brought out an overcooked medium. I had one come out with mash instead of the menu roast potatoes, which really should be checked first, at least to see if there’s a dairy allergy. Some drinks are pricey, and I got charged $13 just to add a handful of chips to a meal. The $10 salad is just supermarket standard mixed leaves with balsamic.
I have eaten at this restaurant so many times. Every time is an unmatched, intimate, delicious, memorable journey of food and hospitality. From a romantic date night, to a wonderful celebratory party after my son's baptism... Damian and the team at Otis do their utmost to ensure eveyrthing is perfect. The food is divine, the wine list incredible, and the whole experience is some of the best I have ever experienced in the world. One of my most favourite restaurants in the world.
Mr. and I had a lovely dinner sharing the smoked hommus followed by both of us having Pasta Capunti. I asked for the chef to omit the pancetta from mine which was no problem. We finished with desserts of a mango mousse and Tiramisu. Our meals were fabulous. Only outshone by the fabulous wait staff consisting Gabriel who was only working his 2nd shift and doing a great job under the guidance of Madeleine. Great job both of you. Very handy restaurant within Rydges Hotel. Review for our breakfast the following day. Typical fare for a buffet breakfast but cheap. Eggs were cold. Tables were all wet and dirty with drink stains from the private function in the area the night before. That staff and the morning staff had not bothered. The lady on the next table was cleaning her table herself. This seems to be a common thread at Rydges eateries and also their hotel rooms as our bathroom counter and the bench in the room were both stained from drinking glasses. We also had lunch a couple of days earlier at Rydges Zebu Port Macquarie and our table was dirty with old stains. Unfortunately too hard to photograph.
My family went for Christmas lunch today. From the moment we arrived the staff were just amazing. They were attentive and the food was just exceptional. I want to thank a staff member in particular... Andy...as he was absolutely incredible. The earring he had on was fabulous too. Thabkyou so much much to the staff for making my families Christmas so wonderful. I cannot recommend this place high enough. Amazing!!
