We had dinner here on a busy Saturday evening, and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. The restaurant appeared to be understaffed, which may have contributed to some of the issues we faced. I ordered the sizzling beef with rice - the beef came out first, but the rice and sides arrived five minutes later, which made the dish feel disjointed. They had also run out of regular water bottles and were using what looked like a gardening jug, which felt very out of place and a bit unhygienic. Most concerning, a few of the utensils we were given didn’t seem properly cleaned and had visible stains, which was hard to overlook. While the overall experience wasn’t pleasant, I could see that the staff, especially one woman who seemed to be in charge, was really trying to keep things running despite the challenges. Hopefully things improve, but based on this visit, I wouldn’t be in a rush to return.
bo ne hits the spot when done right we decided to try this new bo ne and it was alright. we got the bo ne and the grilled corn. the bo ne was mediocre ☹️, it didn’t have enough pate and it didn’t have that oomph of a good pate. the flavour and meat was okay. it wasn’t cooked evenly so some pieces were better than other. it felt like it was lacking something… overall, not bad but not something i’d tell my mum about. the grilled corn on the other hand was delicious!!! the different textures with the flavours of the shrimps and shallots was really something else. we also had their drinks and they were unique and tasty!
Food tasted mediocre. The service was really, really slow. After we were seated, we were ready to order. There was literally no one around for us to order the food. Once ready, I ordered the Sticky Rice with Braised Pork. The sticky rice was really soggy and the braised pork was really fatty. Not suited to my taste at all. Everything here needs improvement.
When we walked in the staff were very friendly and welcoming! We all tried the Bo Ne dac biet. The meat was tender and the bread was crispy and soft on the inside. Would come back 😄
From the glance of the sign of the place it should be obvious what the signature dish is. First Bo Ne in Bankstown perhaps ever? Well done for actually adding something so popular in Vietnam but nowhere to be seen in Bankstown. Of course the bo ne tasted good and it saves me the trip of having to go to Co Ba in Cabramatta and it looks to me that the bo ne variety is the same and it tastes the same too. The bread was crispy and the steak sauce was heavenly and I looked to give this place 5 stars at first but the only reasons I’m giving it 4 is because I waited for about 5 songs in my playlist long when at Co Ba I only needed to wait for 5 mins but I came at around 7 and there was a decent amount of people so maybe it’s not that big of a deal and the peach iced tea was tasteless but I’m coming back to this place definitely so I could always change it to 5 stars Edit: I'm not sure why you guys are apologising to me. There was no bad experience and I may have exaggerated the wait time because you guys were busy. I'm still thinking about the bo ne now and will come back anyways so I will give this place 5 stars
