You gotta go for the yum Cha. Members get a discount. Food is very high quality, please try the abalone dim sum, free after the seventh serving. Prices are reasonable to begin with and even better with the discount. Poppies is not a traditional Chinese restaurant, the venue itself feels like it is a dual use function centre. Yum Cha strictly finishes 12:10pm so the staff are very particular about how long you have before you must finish up. A word about hot water flask. They ration those. So, go for the food but you can’t get good quality food at low prices and still expect silver service. Thoroughly recommend this yum Cha 👍
A group of 6 visited for lunch on Saturday. The dining room af Bankstown Bowling Club is now chinese. We were all very impressed with the quality of the food at a reasonable price, although one of our ladies thought the special fried rice should have had more vegetables. Wine is bar prices. Staff were very accommodating. I wouldn't hesitate to return.
Poppies Brasserie Restaurant locates at Digger’s Granville club. We 4 adults preorder 2 seafood dinner sets including mud crab with vermicelli, slow cooked abalone.sea cucumber.fish maws with mushrooms and duck feet, steamed free range chicken, stir fried snake bean with wasabi diced beef and 4 soup. The food quality is above average and the serve size is more than enough for us, so we paid extra $1 for 2 takeaway containers. The pot of 普洱茶 with camomile is free of charge. The service is good as well, thanks.
This is located in the Granville Diggers RSL Club. We had yum cha in the Chinese section. The food was very disappointing though the prices were reasonable.
New restaurant in Granvill Diggers (RSL club) has delicious meals and great service. Fantastic weekly specials. Highly recommend Poppies Brasserie for lunch, dinner, family gatherings or special events.
