What an incredible dining experience at Sails Restaurant! From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptional. The setting is absolutely stunning, the atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, and every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour. You can really tell that great care goes into every detail. A special thank you to our waiter, Brad, who truly made our lunch unforgettable. He was warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about providing outstanding service. His recommendations were spot on, and he struck the perfect balance of being there whenever we needed him while allowing us to enjoy our meal at our own pace. Brad is a real credit to the restaurant. If you’re looking for an outstanding dining experience with spectacular food, impeccable service, and breathtaking surroundings, Sails Restaurant is a must-visit. We can’t wait to return!
These photos honestly don’t do it justice — everything at Sails on Lavender Bay is absolutely stunning and incredibly delicious. The presentation, the flavors, the atmosphere… it all comes together so beautifully. We had the 5 course menu and we were full after that but we cannot get enough of their ganache cookie dessert. Wish it was bigger or could’ve ordered more but that’s naughty haha The staff are warm, friendly, and genuinely professional, which makes the whole experience even more special. It’s funny how you can pass by a place every single day and not realize there’s such a perfect romantic fine dining spot right there. Living nearby and finally discovering this gem feels like such a treat. Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to.
Overall it was an excellent experience. Could I had the duck breast, great flavors but was more cold than hot which was a little dissapointing as a main. The pork jowl an coffee creme brulee were spot on. Lovely outlook over the Harbour and staff were great
We went to Sails on Lavender Bay for Valentine’s Day, and it was the most beautiful place I have ever been to. It was incredibly romantic and cosy, with an amazing view of the Harbour Bridge, Opera House, and Luna Park. The food was fantastic; we had a set menu, and everything tasted incredible. I can’t thank the staff enough for making our night so special—they were super nice, friendly, and professional. I loved every moment of it and highly recommend it for a romantic dinner. The location is also stunning, with beautiful scenery outside.
Google, can I give this place 6 stars? I had the good luck of getting a booking here for mother's day and could not have wished for a better outcome. The team here excelled at every opportunity. The food, the atmosphere, the views go without saying of course, but the standout is the service and in particular I want to highlight Melissa, who could not have been more accommodating and genuine in her service to us than anyone could ask for. From all the reviews I've done here I can say that Melissa stands amongst the best in the business for hospitality that I've ever experienced and by a long distance. She made us feel like we're part of the family and helped to seat us to a table which one of our parties wished for and did so without hesitation. I truly commend her efforts here given how packed it was and having demanding customers cannot be easy, yet she did not flinch, in fact rose to the occasion. I'm not a big tipper but this is the first time I think I've gone over and above the amount. The management should absolutely look after her. My comments are not enough but hopefully will go to the right people reading this. She also makes amazing coffee. I absolutely look forward to going back. It is these moments that remain long after the meal which makes us want to go back and help to spread the word to friends and loved ones to visit here. The food was incredible one dish was better than the last. However, for me, the absolute star was the salmon gravadlax. It's one of the most delicious things I've eaten and could have it everyday if possible. The combination of horseradish, shiso, cucumber, bergamot... Magnificent. There is the McMahon's Point ferry so an option would be to park in north Sydney and hop over by the wharf as it's located literally next door. Grazie mille Melissa, and to our other servers, and the whole team at Sails. Bravo.
