Last night we went to Savan, a small Lao and Thai restaurant, and honestly the food was really good. We ordered Lao sausages, raw beef larb, Lao papaya salad, fermented pork salad, and grilled beef tongue marinated with the restaurant’s own special recipe. Everything tasted great, full of flavour and very authentic. The dish I liked the most was the khao piak sen. The soup is made from their special bone broth recipe, and the noodles were soft, chewy, and really smooth. It was seriously delicious and reminded me of food back home. The owner was very friendly, smiling and taking good care of the customers. The restaurant is small but warm and comfortable, with a nice family feeling. Parking is easy, and if you don’t drive, it’s also easy to get there by train because the shop is near Cabramatta train station. For Lao students, Lao people, or Thai Isan people who miss food from home, I really recommend this place. Eating here makes you feel like you’re back home again. Good food, good service, and a very welcoming place. I’ll definitely come back again.

First time come here and try their salad, very shocking the taste was really yummy, the portion also very generous and the prices very affordable .. i ordered laos salad tonight :) Will be back for sure, taste very yummy and the service also friendly 🥰
#wedofood42 My cousin found this amazing Laos restaurant in Cabramatta for our food journey. This little restaurant serves BIG FLAVOUR and it’s cheap AF. We had the dried beef, papaya salad, fried quail, sticky rice and chicken fried rice. At $25 a head, you’ll be laughing mate. That incredible dried beef was crisp and had the perfect chew, the chilli and lemon from the papaya salad lifted it straight up. Definitely coming again #wedofood42
Nice food. Not too crowded. Will revisit. Staff does not speak fluent english though. But not a blocker to eat there.
