We had a booking for 6:00pm and arrived at 6:04pm. Parking in the area was difficult to find and we also had our 2-year-old with us, so we were literally only four minutes late. When we arrived, we stood waiting to be seated for around 10 minutes while multiple staff members walked past us without acknowledging us. Eventually, we managed to get the attention of a staff member, who told us the manager would be back shortly and would seat us. When the manager finally came out, we explained that we had a reservation. He looked at his watch and told us that because we were late, he had given our table away. I was honestly shocked considering we had already been standing there waiting for approximately 10 minutes to even be acknowledged. I explained that we had been there waiting, so it hardly seemed fair to blame us for the delay. He then said, “Okay, it’s fine, I’ll move you somewhere else,” but his attitude made it seem as though accommodating our existing reservation was a huge inconvenience. What made the whole situation even more frustrating was that the restaurant was nowhere near full — there appeared to be only around 10 occupied tables. Unfortunately, the food didn’t make up for the poor start either. We found it very below average and certainly not what we expected considering the hype surrounding this place. In our opinion, you can get much better Asian cuisine from plenty of regular local restaurants, without the attitude or inflated expectations. Overall, the service was unwelcoming, the way our reservation was handled was disappointing, and the food was nothing special. We were really looking forward to trying Savoury Dining, but unfortunately we won’t be returning.
Food is quite diverse and unique in that sense, and everything was cooked very well. Food flavors were spot on, and thankyou to the chef for making us such delicious food with great ingredients. I would definitely come again as I really liked the Saigon Style Chicken Wings, Salt and Pepper Squid and the Shaking Beef are incredible. I would also come back for the Taro Ice-cream. See you guys next time!!
I had a good time in here. Food is delicious and good drinks. It was quiet on a Wednesday night but im sure it would be really busy on the weekend. Would not mind coming back here.
We went there for a Sunday Lunch Buffet. The service was excellent, but the food taste was average. Food is not as tasty and flavorful as it is expected to be for an Asian restaurant. The quality and taste can be improved. The ice-cream was awesome. The interior and atmosphere was also very good. Cleanliness is also perfect. My feedback to the management/owners is that , please improve the taste of the food and add more flavours.
My partner & I visited the Savoury Dining yesterday for the all you can eat dinner. The service was friendly & attentive, and catering to my partner's allergy. Highlights of the menu were definitely the roasted pork belly, the shaky beef, the curry puffs, the salt and pepper squid and cauliflower. It was nice to be able to taste a little bit of everything. The atmosphere of this place was spacious, clean and pleasant.
