Overall a nice venue, staff and atmosphere but the food, the foundation of any restaurant, was uninspiring. Comments from the my group: “The cushiony lounge chairs were unique Although the marble table could have been lower” “Could’ve made the quesadilla at home. It was a bit basic” “Chips were good” “Plus points for the good tunes” “Good service” “Maybe more of a drinks venue” “The ID check was very chill” “Ambience was great, very welcoming”

My boyfriend and I had a few drinks, and chips at the Skye Bar & Lounge at Burwood, earlier this night. Immediately when we walked in, we were welcomed in and were able to quickly find a nice spot to sit. The view of the city skyline was absolutely beautiful, and very nice for photos. The cocktails we had were mixed perfectly and were refreshing, and tasted delicious. The chips were also cooked perfectly, and made us order a second bowl. Then the attention to detail from the staff, making sure everything was okay with the drinks, and food made us feel relaxed and comfortable. We will definitely be coming back soon, especially since it’s so close to us. The atmosphere was really lovely, and we had such a nice time.

We attended friends birthday party on a Saturday and as the venue is gorgeous unfortunately can’t say the same about the food and service. Staff was nice but slow, all our foods came at the same time even if ordered 20-30 min apart, which made the party waiting for their food for a long time, once my food came it was supposed to be margarita pizza but there was only tomato sauce and a bit of burnt cheese, not a margarita pizza. Drinks were good, staff was friendly but unfortunately can’t recommend for the food.

I had a great evening at Skye Bar & Lounge — the rooftop setting is genuinely impressive with 360° views of Sydney’s skyline and the Blue Mountains, which make it a standout place for drinks or a casual night out. The vibe up top is relaxed yet lively, and the handcrafted cocktails are definitely worth trying, especially during happy hour. A few reviewers also mentioned friendly and professional bartenders who added to the night’s atmosphere. Service was generally attentive, and we didn’t have long waits, which made the experience much more enjoyable than some accounts I’ve read where guests waited lengthy times for food or drinks. On the food front, portions felt a bit small for the price, and a couple of the dishes weren’t as memorable as I hoped — which others have also pointed out. Still, the sharer platters and snacks were tasty and hit the spot alongside the drinks. Overall, this rooftop bar delivers a fun night out with a great atmosphere, solid cocktails, and stunning views — just be mindful that the food can be on the pricier side compared with portion size.

Had an amazing weekend at Sky Bar! The atmosphere was everything, beautiful vibe, incredible music, and delicious cocktails. The staff were so fun, helpful, and provided amazing service throughout the night. We celebrated my partner’s birthday there, and he couldn’t have been happier. He truly enjoyed every moment. Thank you for making the night so special 🧡we’ll definitely be back!
