I've had loaded spuds before, but never as poor as this. I ordered "the Festival" - list of ingredients states has 'crispy bacon' - it doesn't. They put a lot of bacon bits, which were tasteless as they were way overcooked and tough. I paid $2 extra for an extra dollop of cream (highway robbery at that price, as it is a very small scoop). I asked for garlic butter but you couldn't even taste it - makes me wonder if they just pretended to add it. Overall the entire dish was unappealingly dry, and I didn't enjoy it. I probably ate about half, but it was like eating glue with hard bits, so I tossed the rest in the bin. Wish I purchased 'the Moroccan', which my companion purchased, as it looked 100% more appetizing and moist.
Best takeaway lunch in Penrith by far. Everything is always super fresh and the servings are huge! My go-to is the Chilli Bean Burrito bowl with white potato and garlic butter but everything I've tried has been delicious. Bonus that everything is gluten free so there's no risk of cross-contamination!
Amazing food and super friendly service. Ordered the loaded wedges and they cook them fresh, soooo delicious. As a coeliac this place is amazing as there is zero risk of cross contamination as everything on the menu is safe! So good! Will be back! Definitely worth a visit!
Delicious food, clean and fresh environment, friendly staff, great range of options and price, definitely recommend There are remade bowls and you can choose your own base, butter and sauce 😋 🥣🥗
Honestly don’t understand why anyone orders from Spud Bar in Penrith. The ingredients never taste fresh and the food feels thrown together with no care at all. For the prices they charge, you’d expect decent quality, but it’s seriously overpriced for what you get. The staff also seem completely uninterested and give off the impression they don’t care whether customers are there or not. Overall the whole experience just feels lazy and disappointing. There are honestly better places to eat in the Penrith food court rather than this. Way too expensive for such low quality food and service.
