My 1st time eating here at the Hold in Manly. I'm a massive fan naval and history so this pub suits me well. The Food: Limited options but very delocious. They also have alot of days during the week where the price is lowered to better affordability. I ordered the Beef Taco and The Flagship burger and I like how it tasted, not too sweet, not too salty, balanced out. The atmosphere: perfectly match that of an 18th century ship lower level. Great focus to attention and detail while using the right props (ropes, anchor, pictures). Also great use of painting on walls and including Pirates of the Carribean vibe. They also play music to an acceptable standard, mostly Jazz vibe music which is something that is rare in most Bars The service: quick and efficient, ordered the food and only to wait 10 - 12 minutes for it to come out. There's also free water to grab. Vast options of beverages to choose from. Employees are kind, friendly, and also very young. (For Girls: Hot; Sexy; Charming; Great style of hair If I am honest). Bonuses: lights would often dim and brighten to make the atmosphere more calming but also match that of what the lamp used to be like on 18th century ships (giving you the experience like you're on a ship) Suggestion: the painting on the wall are starting loose their color, and some of the lights are either not lit or less bright than usual. Fix those and I think it will a perfect place. Overall conclusion: this is a highly suggest pub/bar to go to. To hang out with friends, eat food, enjoy the atmosphere or to relax.

Such a cool spot with a unique pirate-ship vibe — the attention to detail in the decor is awesome. The food was delicious, especially the burgers and tacos, with great flavor and balance. Awesome cocktail specials too, and the atmosphere really comes alive at night with live music. Great mix of good food, drinks, and vibe all in one place. Highly recommend, will definitely be back!

What a great earthy piratey bar. I loved the look. We enjoyed the drinks, burgers and fries. They have cocktail specials so check ahead! We were lucky enough to be introduced to new band "the dirty birds"

It's so nice to see that years later, they still have a menu that can be fully vegan. Best GF bun I've ever eaten. Best burger I've ever eaten. Customer service 10/10. Can't wait to visit again!

Stumbled into this place for a drink but ended up having food too. Margarita's were on happy hour and they were strong, hit the spot. Vegan burger and shoestring fries were great too!
