As someone from Nepal, I can honestly say this is one of the most authentic Nepali restaurants I’ve visited in Australia. The flavors reminded me of home, and every dish was fresh, delicious, and made with genuine Nepali taste. The thali was generous and full of flavor, and the overall quality of the food was excellent. What made the experience even better was the outstanding service. The staff were warm, attentive, and the owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel like guests rather than just customers. It’s always a pleasure to find a place that represents Nepali food and hospitality so well. If you’re looking for authentic Nepali cuisine in Hornsby, I highly recommend The Momos. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Absolutely loved the food at The Momos Hornsby! The Momo Platter was a perfect mix with great variety, juicy fillings, and authentic flavours in every bite. The Pressure Cooker momo dish was easily the standout — rich, spicy, full of flavour and cooked perfectly. The Chicken Chow Mein was also excellent, with generous chicken, fresh veggies, and that smoky wok flavour done just right. Great portions, fresh food, and really friendly service. Definitely one of the best spots in Hornsby for Nepalese food. Highly recommended!
Every time we go to this restaurant, the chicken thukpa tastes different. The one I had a few days ago was the best, but yesterday when I ordered it again, it was not fresh at all. The noodles were mushy, and the chicken had no taste—it felt like it had been sitting for days. There was no coriander and green chilli either, which usually adds a lot to the flavor. However, their momos are good.
Fresh and flavourful food The server was understanding and helpful- she asked the chef to stay back a bit before his break so we could enjoy more variety of menu Sekuwa was the mvp and everything was fresh and delicious
We've been here couple of times to try the menu and it's not disappointed. The butter chicken really good but the portion is too small for the price. The naan bread is excellent, and the momos also good. Chicken biryani is good but too spicy for us, if you're not a spicy person make sure to ask for more yogurt. Pani puri also good.
