We attended The Oven at Club Parramatta for Christmas Day dinner. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. The atmosphere was great and the food arrived fairly quickly. One lamb main was partially rare to the point it was raw and couldn't be eaten. Quite costly for the meals but worth going.
The Oven is located inside Club Parramatta. It has alot of variety on the menu and very generous servings. You order at the counter and you’re given a buzzer when the food is ready. There is also a dessert bar. You can make a reservation for a table and there is parking at the club. (Upon entry get your parking ticket validated at the main bar for free parking). I had the lambs kebabs. They were perfectly cooked. The lamb was tender and the flat bread was very fresh. My partner had Schnitzel with vegetables and mash. Will be back to try more options next time.
It was a decent meal for some solid pricing but I can’t complain. Ample amount of seating but can get busy during events. It’s weird but the chips you order on its own seem to taste different to the chips you get that accompany your meal. Not necessarily a bad thing but there is something to it. Would go back as there are many options to choose from including an Asian side that we didn’t get to try.
This place can get super busy on a Friday or Saturday night so I recommend booking, especially if you have a big group. They can accommodate large groups of 15+ people. If you want to get fast service, then I also suggest that you use the QR code to access the menu and pay for your meal at your table instead of lining up. The line-up to order can get very long and you can skip the line by ordering at the table. The food is pretty good given that they pump it out at volume. The chicken Parma is really good. It's thick and juicy and comes with just enough sauce and cheese.
Club looks great inside. Modern & clean. Friendly customer service. Meals were ok. Was a little disappointed with the lamb cutlets serving. The Crispy Chicken rib dippers were nice & a decent serve for an entree.
