I came here to stay for a couple of days between property moves. To recover from the stress 😩. And what a delightful decision this turned out to be. You may or may not have heard of the Cohen brothers masterpiece and academy award winning film ' No Country for Old Men ' . Well there is a motel featured in much of the film . Somehow , by accident or design , this place reminds me of it. I say this affectionately ( because the movie is a hard hitting one ) There is a distinctive 80s charm about this place. In no way pretentious yet remarkably appealing. The pool also sits like a film set from a zombie movie adjacent to the resturant . If you possess a strong imagination you can see the bodies rising from the still depths of the chlorinated water. I stress, this is far from a negative but a wonderful vibe created accidentally. ( I think 🤔) And then there's the charm of waitress Lisa . A polite conversationalist who listens intensely to whatever story you share with her. . The staff involved with room maintenance are exemplary too. As an ex Head Concierge of the Intercontinental Hotel in Sydney I can say categorically that the standard of cleanliness and service here is no different . Thank you Rebecca for clearly holding the standard high. . Come here to stay. And to eat. And you will experience a rare thing ....a here and now of a way back then. Amazing 👏 .
