Food was excellent and coffee was great! We went on Mother’s Day so it was a little busy - staff were great, very fast. It does get quite loud as it’s on the Main Street. Definitely worth stopping by!
This is a placeholder. Nevertheless I felt disappointed. We booked using the online booking app. When we arrived we waited at the front counter about 7-8 minutes to be served. When we were served there was no sign of our booking. We showed them the online booking but he simply shrugged and said the restaurant was full. He then said we could sit at a table outside. You will see from the picture that outside had no heaters, little light and was cold. Really unhappy. Not their fault the online booking didn’t work, but I have had that experience at other places in the past who subsequently bent over backwards to find a way - a way better than shoving customers into a cold, unlit outside. I really want to give this place a second chance, but won’t trust their online booking system.
I have been wanting to try Peppertree for a long time based on reviews. I am not sure if it has changed hands but the service was not like the reviews. There seemed to be no one dedicated to the front of house, well not one of them was dressed the part. We dined with the First Table voucher so I am unsure if we got full sized portions. Put it this way, I would have been annoyed if I was charged $9 for one slice of garlic bread and $13 for one slice of bruscetta. The entrees were small but the mains were a decent size and I have to say the food was delicious. We did enjoy all our meals. A good option for the locals looking for good value.
A honest genuine review!!!! The gentleman that served us was amazing and wonderful to talk too. Always checking in to see if we are ok and keeping us informed when the food will be ready. Very friendly and warm and the owner should be proud to have him on board at their restaurant. The Moroccan lamb skewers were cooked to perfection with the Greek salad delicious and the seafood pie was delicious and the seafood cooked well. Highly recommend they continue to cook homemade hot chips. For our first time we left very pleased.
We really enjoyed all the dishes. The food is fresh and delicious. My kids especially loved the chicken schnitzel with hot chips. The fries are freshly cut and homemade, just like the ones you make at home. Great quality and very tasty!
