Delightful waterfront dining with lovely views, great food, nice cocktails and attentive service. The crispy pork jowl came recommended and it was an absolute highlight! Me and my daughter (small stomachs!) ordered two medium plates and a small (mostly because we were busting to try the pork). The medium plates were much larger than I had expected, this would be a great restaurant to bring a group and share. 🕜 Booking recommended, particularly during peak times
We went for dinner on NYE last night. The service was fast & attentive. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was good. We had the Singaporean Chili sauce prawn, burrata and sourdough as entrees to share. The prawn was outstanding! Very tasty it might be my favourite dish that night. For main we had flank steak & their signature prawn pasta in main size. The prawn pasta was beautiful as always, while the flank steak was a bit “fatty” to my taste. We also had extra fries as side. For dessert we had the strawberry cheesecake which was delicious and refreshing. It was a great NYE dinner experience.
Spectacular dining! What a 10-course dining experience: beginning with the Spanner Crab Tart - nitrogen inspired serving! ; including a classic Cheese and Leek Pastie; Salted Caramel Chocolate morsels, served spectacularly on Blue Stones!! the whole evening was an extravaganza of 10-course culinary delights and theatricality. Chef working the kitchen and the restaurant, Staff attentive and so helpful with dietary requirements. Thank you NEL and The Pines Cronulla for a great degustation experience, including the Sommelier's paired wines. Inspiring. Exciting. Delicious. Fine dining at it's best. Thank you for a great evening.
Great food and service. Highly recommended. Staff was very intuitive which is hard to find these days. I can only remember one other place and it's China Doll in Woloomoolloo so was delightfully surprised. Food platter is a must order. The lamb cutlets especially was cooked so well and seafood was so fresh and succulent.
My husband and I had a fantastic experience tonight at The Pines. Although the weather is a bit cold it was nice and warm inside the terrace and we had a great view of the beach. Food was lovely, we highly recommend the cheeseburger, hands down the best cheeseburger we have had in Australia and the sticky date pudding for dessert a must to finish off. Sam was extremely attentive and knowledgeable and I can honestly say gave us the best service we have had for many, many years, this restaurant is lucky to have him as a manager. We will be back for sure.
