This place is really worth all 5 stars, really don’t understand the 4.1 it has. We had a first table booking, although I would be more than happily to pay full price for this food. Fairly priced and good portions. We ordered vegetable samosas, and fried onion - as-well as both a lamb and garlic naan, butter chicken and vindaloo beef for the mains. The naan was amazing, meats were Smokey and tender and sauces were greatly flavoured. An Indian lady served us and was super sweet and welcoming, made us feel happy to be there even before we ordered. If you like Indian or want to give it a go, try this place!!!

Had a great meal here recently. Definitely my favourite traditional Indian restaurant in Sydney. I find that it’s difficult to find Indian restaurant in Australia that actually get the spice levels and flavours correct, but this place ticks all the boxes. Aldo really excellent naan bread.

I was disappointed with the only Indian restaurant in Pyrmont. I asked the staff for a curry recommendation—one vegetarian and one non-veg—and ordered what they suggested. The Desi Chicken had fresh chicken pieces, but the gravy tasted sour, like it was made days before and the yogurt tasted bad. The Dal Makhni might have been fresh, but it had no flavours at all. At least the poppadums were good, and the glass of wine was poured from a fresh bottle, so that was decent.

Loved the retro vibe, but the food didn’t live up to it. Service was slow, and we had to wait quite a while. Disappointed with the masala chai – it was machine-made, not the real, boiled strong kind you'd expect.

The food taste was good. Rotti and Nan’s are fresh and soft. All the curries I had tasted good. Not that spicy. A good portion of food for the price. Responsive service. Spacious, Clean dining area. An excellent choice for Indian food if you are around this area.
