We ordered a cheese platter and wine delivered to the room. Cheese platter $21 great value wine was a bit expensive. We also had breakfast here the next morning and couldn’t fault it.
I had food from here on two occasions: breakfast buffet with the hotel I was staying at, and room service with the hotel. The breakfast buffet is great! $25pp if you prebook. The range of food is fantastic - there is something for everyone. There is also a coffee machine and some juices available. The room service, however, was a bit expensive. $34 for the burger meal, and $19 for the pasta. They were nice meals, but I’m not sure that the price is justified in that case
The breakfast buffet offers an array of tasteful limited dishes and an impressive espresso machine with various hot coffee drinks. Additionally, there is a self-serve pancake maker available. The atmosphere is pleasing and the staff are attentive.
We had the pleasure of eating here everyday for breakfast, once for dinner and once for bar snacks. The food is absolutely delicious and very generous serves. The fish tacos as a bar snack were fantastic, 3 good sized tacos with perfectly cooked fish and salad. The beef cheeks with mash for dinner was very well cooked, so tender, melt in your mouth delicious. The breakfast each day was very good, really enjoyed the variety of food on offer.
The food at Field House Restaurant is very good. The Angus strip loin was tasty. I had it with the herb gremolata sauce which was a great choice. Roasted bone marrow with garlic and parsley was included and is something you don't often see on menus (if ever), it was very tasty and highly recommended - you can order it as a side if you aren't ordering a steak. Don't forget to leave room for dessert. The Banoffee is excellent. There are a number of gluten free and vegetarian options on the menu.
