It was my first time visiting, and I had no idea Bankstown had such a luxurious spot… The décor leans European, the tables are spacious, and there’s a huge open kitchen — super comfortable! The salmon was excellent — truly outstanding! Thick‑cut, not too cold when served, beautifully plated, and executed perfectly. Absolutely delicious. The tacos were also great. The flavours were well balanced, the caviar didn’t overpower the beef, and the bread underneath was incredibly crispy without being tough at all. Really tasty! The rest of the sushi lost the spotlight a bit — pretty standard. I wouldn’t recommend the wagyu rice. The beef itself is top‑quality wagyu — almost no tendon, very high fat content — but the rice didn’t have any beef‑fat aroma, felt like it was cooked separately, and was a bit firm. If you want beef, just order the wagyu directly. The quality is good and worth recommending, but I wouldn’t recommend the wagyu rice. Overall, I recommend the salmon sushi and the tacos! Wishing the owner great business!
Tokyo Samba absolutely nails the Japan meets South-America fusion vibe without overcomplicating it. The food was fresh, bold and packed with flavour, from the sushi to the grilled dishes, everything felt well balanced and fun to eat. The mocktails were surprisingly good too, not just an afterthought like at some places. Service was friendly and attentive without being over the top, and the whole place had a really good atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.
Ive been 4 times now and have never left disappointed! For a resturant in bankstown, you feel like you are in the inner west/city having a delicious dinner. The music is fun and the food is amazing. The charcoal chicken was one of the softest chickens we have ever had and that cabonara.... chefs kiss!
Came in today on their reopening 23/03/26 and I have to say I experienced something I haven’t seen in a very long time. As you can imagine reopening night is always very challenging. The food was delicious but the reason I am writing this 5 star review is because of the absolute gentleman chef. Everything was perfect but when we got our T- Bone it was a little overdone for what we would have liked. We let the waiter know and they offered to remake it but we were a little tight for time so we just had it how it was anyways. The chef then, without us asking, discounted the steak due to the inconvenience and personally came to apologise after while we were paying. It takes a man to do that and a class chef to personally leave the kitchen to let us know. If you disregard it being a little overcooked, you could tell the actual cooking of the steak with the way it was seared is world class so we need to come back to try it again a little rarer. We definitely will be coming back with friends and family. Great morales in an industry where it is slowly losing its class, this place is well worth it.
Went on a random Tuesday night and It was an incredible atmosphere and staff were supper sweet and attentive. We asked to make a modification to an item we ordered and the chef personally came out to explain the changes to us. This really stood out and showed he was passionate about what he does. Truly had warming experience and food was unique!
