February 2026 I tried the lemongrass chilli chicken on red rice at Viet Sense, and it was a vibrant, satisfying dish with just the right kick. The chicken was tender and infused with aromatic lemongrass, while the chilli added a warm, lingering heat—not overpowering, but enough to awaken the palate. Paired with nutty red rice and a small bowl of clear soup, the meal felt balanced and nourishing. At $21, it’s a solid choice for those who enjoy bold flavours with a touch of spice. Rating: ★★★★☆ – Flavorful, well-portioned, and worth revisiting for a spicy lunch fix. ---------------------------------- December 2025 I had my first lunch at Viet Senses today and ordered a bowl of rare beef Phở noodle soup. The broth was fragrant and comforting, garnished with fresh herbs that brought out the depth of flavour beautifully. The restaurant itself has a simple, humble interior—wooden tables, clean layout, and a cozy vibe that feels more authentic than many Vietnamese spots I’ve tried in Chatswood. It’s not flashy, but it’s definitely a step above the kiosks near the train station bus terminal. Overall, a satisfying and genuine Vietnamese dining experience. I’ll be back to explore more of the menu.

Great find with good value dishes in generous portion at a newly refurbished venue. They have so much more variety with authentic taste to try out on our next visit.

We love our stewed beef noodle, very generous portion of beef and tasty soup. The space is quite small though.

It’s my lovely boyfriend’s favourite eating spot for its fresh ingredients, generous portions and reasonable prices. He always ordered 2 dishes when he feels starved. I tried the spicy beef soup and I liked it too. Recommend the fried chicken so good.

Bun rieu was fine, but banh canh cua was totally different from what we had in Vietnam. The broth was not thick, had strange white pieces that look and taste like egg drop soup mixed with pho broth. Also while the dish is called crab meat udon soup, the crab was almost invisible. Overall a dissapointing experience
