Visited WaFire Grill and had a truly satisfying Middle Eastern dining experience. The restaurant offers a great balance of mezze, grills, and slow-cooked dishes that feel both authentic and well-presented. We started with the Trio Dip with mixed bread (hummus, babaganoush, tzatziki) — fresh, creamy, and perfect with warm bread. The fattoush garden salad was refreshing with crisp vegetables and a tangy pomegranate dressing that added a nice balance. The mixed platter was a standout — chicken shish tawook, lamb kafta, and lamb backstrap served with hummus, garlic toum, and pickles. The meats were well-marinated, tender, and full of flavour, especially the kafta which had a nice smoky grill taste. The green falafel with tahini was crisp on the outside and soft inside, while the kataifi halloumi with heirloom tomato and pomegranate honey glaze was a unique sweet-savoury highlight. The hero of the meal was definitely the lamb shank tagine, slow-cooked and incredibly soft, paired with carrots, prunes, and aromatic spices served with Persian rice — rich, comforting, and full of depth. To finish, the desserts were indulgent and beautifully presented: baklava stuffed vanilla ice cream, pistachio pashmak, and ashtah stuffed Saudi dates coated in chocolate, paired with Arabic coffee and tea — a perfect end to the feast. Overall, a great spot for anyone looking for authentic Middle Eastern flavours, generous portions, and a relaxed dining experience in Neutral Bay. Definitely worth visiting for both mezze lovers and grill enthusiasts.
It is a very nice place with great ambiance. It's cafe style, modern and clean. Not too noisy at all. The food was fast. Delicious and flavoursome. Great authentic lebanese cuisine. Well presented and tasty. We went for dinner and were very happy with the experience.
First visit to W.A.Fire Grill and certainly not the last! Our booking was 530pm and there were already several families seated and eating and the place almost filled by 630pm. This didn't affect the service. We placed our order within minutes and received Hummus, Babaganouh and Tzatziki with Mixed Bread as entree along with Garlic Prawn, chakchuka and turkish bread that followed only a few minutes later. For Dinner I had Slow cooked Lamb shank Tagine, Prunes with cous cous and condiment served with Persian rice which tasted really good, my wife had the Green Falafel with Tahini in which she exclaimed that they were they best tasting falafel that she has ever tasted in Australia (and we have visited a great many middle eastern restaurants) and only Egypt was margin better. For sides we had the Potato Harra tossed in lemon garlic herb sauce was divine with such flavour and the Tabouleh was by far the best we have ever tasted as well. To finish we shared a Baklava Petit Four which was delicious and a Moroccan tea. The service for the whole evening was impeccable, the food so delicious and with generous servings and we so look forward to coming back again.
I tried a few dishes. The falafel and babaganoug were ok. The chicken was tender but maybe I felt it had the wrong spices. The fatouch wasn't the freshest ingredients. Overall ok. Utensils looked clean but The place definitely needs a deep clean. Bathrooms smelled and the place didn't look too clean though it was morning.
Vegetarian and Vegan 🌱 Amazing Delicious 😋 All my favourite ; Halloumi sticks, potato, falafel, cauliflower, and fattoush salad and baklava ice cream with cotton candy Highly recommend, Delicious 🤤
