To be honest, hearing “gluten-free bakery” didn’t exactly get me excited, but wow, was I wrong. I went for the Herbed Chicken & Mayo sandwich and it was excellent. Packed with chicken, plenty of flavour from the herbs, a nice sweet tang from the pickled cucumber, and just the right amount of mayo. The bread was denser than your usual loaf but had a really interesting texture and held together beautifully. One of the better sandwiches I’ve had recently. It really hit the spot.

If you prefer gluten-free, or simply want quality bakery products this place is fabulous. There is a lot of gluten-free stuff available these days but a lot of it is poor quality, bordering on unhealthy. Wholegreen bakery fills the gap for excellent quality gluten-free food. I have visited the Wholegreen bakery at Clovelly several times and both Alexandria and Clovelly provide the same excellent, healthy GF food. I’ve been GF for several years and I’m very particular about the quality of what I eat and Wholegreen bakery is somewhere I can choose pretty well anything and know that it will be made with high quality ingredients.

Get the passion fruit cake!! Absolutely delish. The person at the counter was super lovely and explained all the options and helped me forgive out what birthday cake to buy for a friend. I was able to buy a cake last minute without pre ordering!

A quick and easy place to come for good gluten free coeliac bakery food and coffee. Just a hole in the wall with limited outdoor seating. Other stores available especially a cafe atmosphere shop in Bondi Junction.
