A very popular place amongst the tradies as their portions are very generous and quick service. There were a couple of takeaway and delivery orders before us but it only took approx 10-15mins for all our foods to come out. The noodles were a bit undercooked as I could still taste the raw flour flavours while eating. The pork fillings weren’t too fresh so I was a bit disappointed. I wish they could improve the food quality then it would be a better experience.
No frills restaurant in Ashfield serving great and affordable food from Xi’an. Amazing Chinese food. Came with a friend who lived in Xian for years who testified that the food is very reflective of city’s cuisine. Ate noodles with lamb ribs (number 36) and pork and chive dumplings. Portion size is large. Great value (total was $30 for 2 dishes).
Look, at authentic places like this, do NOT look at the decor or service-it might seem like it is a shabby little restaurant and the servers might seem cold towards you but the quality and quantity of food here 150% makes up for that. Everything is in huge portions that actually taste good and authentic. I have not tried a single dish from here that I don’t like. For the price It is dirt cheap, 15-16 dollars for a MASSIVE heaping. After a long days work coming here to stuff your face is the best feeling ever. Try everything, it’s all good.
Fantastic! The most unprepossesing room, heIp yourself to water, no tea, order and pay at the counter, Xian and general dishes on the comprehensive menu, but the Sichuan dishes are all listed in Chinese on the wall behind the counter But the reviews are right - the food here is seriously good. Transported us back to Xian
Small restaurant in the centre of Ashfield. The seafood noodles were delicious and unlike any seafood noodles I've had before, I guess that's the Xi'an style. Not expensive. I'll be coming back.
