Excellent! The food was great. Service was great. I chose the lobster special ($128, or $178 if you like with a second crab dish). The lobster was very fresh and cooked perfectly. The honey chicken is also the best I’ve had!!
Warning: please read if you care about your health. I visit this restaurant often. Without any issue and staff had always been lovely. But, today is the last for me. I ordered takeaway as usual. As I love chinese. I ordered one stir-fried chicken and a long soup. The price on the menu was $16.80 for the stir-fried chicken and $8.80 for the long soup. Bringing the total to what should have been $25.60 charged. But, I was charged $35.60. ????? Management was very deceptive. Acting like they did not understand due to their english. I was overcharged. It got worse. I returned home and took three bites of my food noticing a small insect at first in the food. Cockroach. I spat out what I was about to chew to realise there was an even larger cockroach in my meal. Boiled/cooked. Totally disgusted I rang the restaurant. The restaurant was very dismissive when I rang. When I confronted the restaurant by phone. I was polite. But 5 minutes into the call. Shortly hung up on. I thought this was rude. So I decided to walk back and make a complaint in person. I wasn’t given a refund and they acted nice But that I could feel was fake. Both meals were not as displayed in images. when received. They re-made one meal but it was again a different meal to what I had ordered. I was given a pat on the shoulder and two fortune cookies and sent on my way. Deeply saddened by the quality of the food and management today. I feel sick. Disappointed I threw the meal in the bin. I would not have made this complaint if my complaint was handled, correctly. Please know That sadly you have lost a valued customer. Not that it will make a difference. But I would rather share my story.
Great place for seafood with family amd friends. Chef here has years of experience. The crab is quite fresh and goes really yum with fried rice noodles. Highly recommend coconut chicken hotpot as well, which the soup tastes umami and sweet.
Overall I think the quality of the food could be improved as there's not enough wok hei. The lobster special didn't taste fresh and the cold cooked chicken was very bland. Stir fried vegetables and the duck was great however.
5/5 Stars Xin Qiang Ji Seafood Restaurant is a fantastic spot for fresh and delicious seafood! The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality—you can tell the seafood is live and incredibly fresh. The ambiance is lovely, creating a comfortable and pleasant dining experience. The owner is a real highlight—super friendly, humorous, and charming, which adds a personal touch to the meal. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great seafood at fair prices. I’ll definitely be coming back
