When my lady wants a sunset walk on the beach, it's best to make sure she isn't peckish first. Good thing the solution is conveniently close to the coast and next to a nice ice cream shoppe. Fish and salads are always fresh and quality chips. Portions are a bit more than generous! Just be careful on accidentally becoming the locals birds new best friend...

The grilled dory pack with chips and salad was delicious. We shared between 2 and it was quite satisfying. We sat at the outside tables with ocean glimpses which was really quite relaxing. Service with a smile and the order was out quickly. The better half loved the dory, I loved the chips, have not had some so tasty and crisp for a while. It was a really good spur of the moment decision. A little on the pricey side for a basic fish and chip outlet.

Everything I ordered was delicious. Tasmanian scallops were a highlight. They were so large and succulent.

I’d like to share a recent experience that really showed the difference good customer service makes. During a busy concert night, I visited a nearby ice cream shop and spent around $30 on ice cream. When I asked for a few empty cups, I was charged $2.50 each, which felt unreasonable. By that point, the ice cream was already packed and I had no choice but to accept it. I then went to a nearby casual street food / fish and chips shop and ordered a snack pack for $20.90. The food was generous and good quality, but what really stood out was the service. I politely asked for four empty cups and even offered to pay — the staff member kindly gave them to me without charging anything. I insisted, and he still refused. While waiting, I noticed how friendly and respectful the staff were with all customers, even when people asked for extras. As someone who has worked in hospitality for many years, I can honestly say this was one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had in a casual venue in Australia. Well done to the team — this is real hospitality.
