Yum cha, yum cha, yum cha And when you arrive at quarter to 12 on a Thursday and there is a 15 minute que to get in, you know the foods going to be good. We weren't dissapointed. We were seated and food trolleys full of amazing food were very quickly upon us. Because they are so busy they like you to have an estimated 45 minute lunch so other people can be seated once you leave. You can also order yum cha dishes of the menu as well but we didn't have to as there was a great variety of food coming round. Everything we ordered was amazing and we will definitely be back. There are live seafood tanks with lobsters, crab, barramundi and other fish i didn't recognise There are toilets here, but it isn't wheelchair accessible as there is a 20 step staircase to navigate. I really recommend eating here
I am extremely disappointed. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years, but after this experience I won’t be coming back. We ordered takeaway and paid for 10 dishes. When we got home, we discovered one dish was missing. I called the restaurant to explain, but instead of listening, I was told they had “double checked” and there was no mistake. Before I even had the chance to explain what had happened, the staff member hung up on me. I understand that restaurants get busy, but that doesn’t justify treating a long-time customer so disrespectfully. Why would I make up a missing dish when I had already paid for it? This isn’t the first time we’ve experienced poor customer service here, but it will definitely be the last. The way this situation was handled completely broke my trust. Very disappointing. Evidence attached.
We came here for yum cha at lunchtime today. The food was excellent, and we really enjoyed our meal. Everything was going well until we paid the bill. After paying, I turned around to leave, then came back to ask for my receipt. The cashier, an older woman (around 50–60 years old with shoulder-length hair that was partly grey), looked at me and said, “You Chinese people are so funny. Why do all Chinese people always want a receipt?” I replied that I had paid for my meal and asking for a receipt is my right. If I didn’t want one, there would be no need to print it. I also asked her why she was making comments about Chinese customers and whether she realized how inappropriate and discriminatory her remark was. I don’t believe only Chinese customers ask for receipts. Before leaving, I reported the incident to the manager. While I was speaking with the manager, the cashier shouted loudly in my direction from behind the counter. It’s very disappointing because the food was genuinely delicious, but this interaction completely ruined what had been a pleasant dining experience. No customer should be stereotyped or spoken to in this way because of their ethnicity. I hope the restaurant takes this matter seriously and provides better staff training on respectful and professional customer service.
Very disappointing experience. We came here to celebrate Mother’s Day (2pm), expecting good service, but instead we were treated very rudely. The customer service was terrible, especially from the blonde-haired Asian girl folding clothes on the left side corner near the table. We didn’t know she wasn’t serving customers, but instead of politely explaining, she shouted “CALL THE WAITER!” at us. Such a disgusting and unprofessional attitude toward customers. Definitely ruined our celebration. Never ever coming back here again.
I absolutely love coming here for yum cha!! I don’t go anywhere else! We always end up ordering so much food, getting ridiculously full and it’s usually only around $35 a head, which is amazing value. We always take home leftovers (you need to pay for takeaway containers). The prices are so good and everything is always fresh and delicious. It does get busy, so definitely arrive early so you don’t need to wait in the queue for long. Can’t fault this place, love it every time! Get a sugar cane juice from Thu Phung N Sugar Cane Juice Bar afterwards and you’re in heaven!
